Drinks on liberty of the seas

Recommended Posts

Hi all, we are pretty new to cruising so just learning- we have only ever cruised once before and that was on Disney were all non alcoholic drinks were included. This time we have pre paid for the soda package but still have a few drink related questions.

What drinks are included on the soda package

Can we help our selves-is there a drinks station?

What about in the Mdr? Do we all have to carry our cards to prove we have the soda package?

Is tea and coffee free/included?

Is tea and coffee free on room service?

If I go to a bar for soda for myself and husband do we both have to show our cards or would he be able to go alone and get 2 sodas?

That's all for now lol

Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, etc. Anything they serve at that location. Fountain drinks only.

Not yet on Liberty. SOON, but not yet.

Yes.

Is tea and coffee free/included?

Yes, even without the card. Not premium coffee, though.

Is tea and coffee free on room service?

Yes. Please tip them a dollar or something for making the trip, but that is voluntary

You will be fine. I did this a few time the last time we got the package.

P.S.

I did a small Liberty review from this past weekend... if you would like to see what I thought.

If you get the soda package it includes Coca-Cola products and a collectible drink tumbler. Your SeaPass card will also have a Coca-Cola logo printed on it or a sticker. (The card will be printed if you order the soda package before 5 days before you sail through the website or a sticker if you order it onboard.)

On some RCI ships they have the new Coke Freestyle machines.

On Liberty you can refill the tumbler at any bar location,Sorrento's Pizza, or Café Promenade. You can also refill the tumbler in Windjammer by just asking the wait staff. In the main dinning room and specialty restaurants we've just always showed them our SeaPass card and they brought us soda in a glass. After the first night our wait staff remember and brought our sodas with dinner. We never had to show our card again in the MDR. We did have to show our card daily for lunch in the MDR simply because you get different wait staff every day. Depending on what venue you order soda, they may just bring you a glass of ice and a can. This happened to me a-lot especially in the theater and casino.

Coffee and tea are included in the free drinks on board. With the exception of premium coffee.

Every time I've gone to get drinks my wife and myself I've always taken both of our tumblers or both our SeaPass cards and never had an issue.

Think your main questions have been answered, but just wanted to add that the card which shows you have purchased the soda package (your sea pass on RC) is also your cabin key, the card you will use to charge anything onboard as well as your identification for getting on and off the ship at ports so you will most likely have it with you. No need to bring anything else.

OP, I'm not sure why you wouldn't always have your SeaPass card with you anyway? It is your cabin key and your charge account; you should (I don't like that word, but whatever) always have it with you.

Additionally, yes coffee and tea are included in your cruise fare but ONLY if you get them at an eating venue. If you go to a lounge for after dinner drinks and coffee, you will be charged for the coffees; we learned this from experience. No big deal, but wanted to tell you.
