Sharing some pictures and thoughts from my 6-Day Western Caribbean Cruise on the Carnival Freedom!

First up embarkation at Port Canaveral. Traffic into the port was a bit heavy and took a while, but once in the terminal everything went quick and very easy. Got my booze past security no problem. (my friend's attempt was not so successful. and we were on board in no time.

Allure of the Seas was in port beside us, and that ship is gigantic! We were the last ship to leave port so we got to watch several other ships sail away from deck.

Stressless Pool on Panorama Deck

Timeless Main Pool & Spas. These hot tubs were always packed!! The pools were almost never as packed as the hot tubs. I must say I don't like the way the pools are setup on this ship. It's often very hard to get much sun in the pools because of the setup.

The Aft Pool was the best of the 3, but usually the most crowded as well. It is adults only, and for the most part kids in this pool were not an issue. The staff were very good about enforcing the rule. This pool also has a retractable roof. These hot tubs were also frequently packed!

Looking forward to the rest of this review. I am thinking of booking this for our next cruise. I think Key West would be a blast for a longer stay.

I LOVE Key West! It's a great port (I really want to actually vacation there sometime to truly experience it!) This itinerary definitely gives you enough time there, though i still wish some ship would do a late night or overnight call in Key West.

Cigar Bar. Let me just say that I am not a smoker, but its really really dumb that smoking isn't allowed in the Cigar Bar! I'm all for protecting us non-smokers from second hand smoke, but it seems to me that providing a proper place for smokers to smoke makes a lot of sense! You know, and what better place to be allowed to smoke than a Cigar Bar! Anyway... the cigar bar had very cumfy couches and was a good place to relax with an after dinner drink or three, when there wasn't activities planned there.
