north29 Posted December 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2012 After reading the OBC thread now near the top. I have never had a problem with OBC but here is my question. Also, I have been told that OBC may not readily appear until the 2 or 3 day into the cruise. Is there anyway to see/check your OBC before you get on the ship? There is a way to check Royal generated OBC/credits, such as OBC from booking on board, balcony discount, savings certificates, shareholder OBC, or Visa points redemption. These will all be listed on Royal's Guest Copy of your booking confirmation. This is a PDF file Royal will email you upon request. If you booked with a travel agent, then the agent must request this from Royal on your behalf. If you mean OBC from a travel agent, that's between you and the travel agent. yogimax Posted December 27, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2012 You can call RCCL and ask if the OBC has been applied.
papaflamingo Posted December 28, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2012 We have done Visa Rewards 3 times and it has shown up as late as day 4 of the cruise. Take the email confirmation with you. I contacted Guest Services the first time and was informed that it takes a few days to be credited, but it was. No problem. So I'd give it time to show up before getting too worried. Don't know about OBC other than Visa Rewards. Also if you don't use it up, and it's non-refundable, go to the Casino and get cash for the balance. Costs you 3%, but heck, we had about $100 left so we cashed it out and only paid $3 for it. Better than losing the credit.
billscruiser Posted December 28, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2012 Had a next cruise credit show precruise, but when it did not appear on our statement mid-way through the cruise, they had to email the home office to verify. Would check a few days before end of cruise so they can get it straightened out before final billing. Also a copy of the printout as mentioned above is very helpful.
