I am putting together a scavenger hunt for a group cruise I am going on in March. I am looking for lots of items, and am need of assistance in figuring them out. Anyone do this and have some lists or just some ideas.

Here is a paper/pencil one we did on the Inspiration last year. Some organize digital scavenger hunts.

 

Scavenger Hunt

 

What is the name of the disco?

The name of the Captain the first time the Inspiration went to Ensenada–

What is the name of the Carnival Mascot? Funship Freddy

In what country was the Inspiration built? Finland

What Year was the ship launched?

How many people can fit in a lifeboat? 150

What is the name of the Lounge where the Karaoke is sung?

What is the name of the bar in front of the Lounge where the Karaoke is sung?

Cost of a DOD (Drink of the day) in a souvenir cup?

What is the discount to refill the souvenir cup with another DOD?

Cost of a DOD (Drink of the Day) in a regular cup?

When is Tea time?

What is the name of the Cruise Director?

Name of the bar outside of the casino?

What kind of sushi is at the sushi bar?

What color was your Miniature Golf ball?

How many laps in a mile on the outdoor track?

What is the Theme of the Inspiration? creative spirits of the arts

What is the name of the deck is your cabin on?

What is the deck number of the Lido deck? 10

What is the name of your room steward?

What is the name of your waiter?

How many crew are onboard?

What is the Inspiration’s nation of registry? Panama

Where is the ship's coin located?

 

Scour the deck plans and see if you can find a FunTimes.

A tie/apron from a waiter.

A pink sock from anyone.

Photo of a ship's officer.

A menu from an alternate restaurant (not necessarily a real menu, but even a photo of a menu)

Bar of soap

A specific brand of toothpaste

A photo of another ship from the same cruise line (get that from a brochure)

A weird souvenir from a port stop

A toothpick

How many guest washing machines are on board.

Collect a pineapple wedge from a bar.

Take a picture with a ships officer.

Take a picture with the Cruise Director.

Collect a bingo card.

What country is home to your head waiter.

A coin from one of the port of call.

Take a picture with someone who has red hair (or mustache, or beard, or nose piercing etc).

 

With a fun, outgoing group a scavenger hunt can be a blast on a sea day. Many guests will play along for fun. I was in a hunt a couple years ago and did not have my camera with me so I brought another guest who had red hair with me to the end of game party. Have fun.

We do a family cruise each year and do a scavenger hunt. Although I'm not done yet, here is my list (Celebrity Reflection). We collect through the week and on the last night at dinner award a winner.

 

Items

(none of the items may be purchased – they can be WON, but not purchased!)

• Used Bingo card

• Plastic fruit holder or umbrella from a drink

• Something purple

• A pen with the Celebrity or Reflection’s logo/name on it

• A short phrase from a crew member who speaks XXX.

• Celebrity lanyard

• Napkin signed by the piano bar pianist

• Name of the people who are staying in cabin across the elevator from you & where they are from

• Drink Of The Day recipe

• Drink recipe from the Molecule bar

• An autograph from a honeymoon couple

• Find someone to translate this for you (i'll put in some phrase)

• A small rock/shell

• A straw

• A toothpick with fuzzy stuff on one end

• All the eyes off your towel animals

• Empty roll of toilet paper

• Napkin with a red lipstick kiss – cannot be from someone on your team

• Piece of chocolate (extra points if it says Celebrity or Reflection on it)

• Deck of cards with the Celebrity or Reflection’s logo on it

• Celebrity keychain

• Something you won by participating in an onboard activity

• Origami made from a paper napkin

I got the best one that helped us win our scavenger hunt on the Mariner years ago.

Something with the name of another cruise ship on it.

Everyone went running around at ports of call to snag other cruisers. But, we had a Disney bag in our suitcase from purchasing a souvenier, and we won with this bag!!!!
