Recommended Posts

Hi i am going on the dubai cruise in Feb. Can I pay my ship board bill with US travelers cheques? dont really want to pay by Credit card as it racks up the charges....:( and carrying that much cash is not great, as wont be insured.

Any other advice about the serenade would be fab ...:D Thanks.

i am traveling alone with my 10 yr old daughter.

Hi,

This is no problem, I would suggest that you

Register your Credit Card

(just saves a lot of hassle that a cash account causes)

Then day before you disembark or for that matter

Anytime through your cruise go to guest relations and pay

Off your bill. I usually go about 10pm on the last night.

I have done this many times so that my CC bill is usually

No more than $50 or so.

One time I was behind a couple who paid $9500 off their account

in T/Chqs.

Here is the FAQ regarding onboard payments. It does say that "Accounts can also be settled by cash or travelers checks."

In addition, you can exchange up to "USD $1000 in travelers checks and foreign currency per day... for cash at the Guest Relations or Guest Services Desk".
