I am one point away from Elite status with 9 points. I am wondering if I will be Elite at the start of my next Celebrity cruise or will I not be Elite until the cruise after that?

Elite is the next cruise after you have 10 points, and you don't earn the points until the cruise is completed.

 

We are in the same situation. Need one more. The next cruise that we have scheduled will give us 2 points. Wish that it was prorated during that cruise so we could have the benefits for part of that cruise but it don't work that way. Even cruising with max points on every cruise 4 cruises are needed to reach Elite status but you will not have the benefits until the 5th.

Thanks for the answers. That is what I thought but I wanted to confirm it.

 

Carnival does give you Platinum benefits at the start of your cruise. Then again, that's Carnival. :)
