Tricialy Posted January 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2013 I looked for the search, but it must be missing again. Hope this hasn't been answered too recently. Can you order a drink (other than what the waiters are carrying) at the Latitudes Reception? I'd love a Piña Colada. Thanks!

Jerseyden Posted January 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2013 I personally would not get a drink from those that the waiters are offering. The flu is not a way to start off a cruise, and you don't know how many people have handled the glass on these trays. Many passengers don't know these are not free and after they find out they put them back on the tray.
jerseygirl111 Posted January 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2013 It's been my experience that the drinks at the Lattitudes Party are free. Whether special order or the pre-made drinks.
xenagurl Posted January 21, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2013 The drinks and snacks at the Latitudes party are free. I've asked for other drinks and not been charged but they were in the same vein of those being served. i.e. Red wine instead of white wine. Have a great time, enjoy the party and the drinks. :)
TaterSalad Posted January 21, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2013 We sometimes order a beer if they only have cocktails on the tray but always tip a few dollars. I have found recently, though, that they have a wider variety on their trays including beer and wine so I just got what was on their tray last time. roger001 Posted January 22, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2013 They are free! And if you know your server (from previous drinking experience), they will load your table with drinks. My wife had to go take an afternoon nap .
debnjoe1438 Posted January 22, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2013 As stated, drinks are free at the Lattitudes reception. I have asked for a Strawberry Daquari and gotten it. :D
Tricialy Posted January 22, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Thanks! I knew they were free and usually drink a rum punch or two - and thought someone told me she had ordered a White Russian - she probably did. I have no problem tipping. ;)
Love my butler Posted January 22, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Most do not know it is basically an open bar. Ask the waiter or the bartender directly and you will most likely get what you want. The last thing they want to do to this group of people is say no. NW Pacific Posted January 22, 2013 #11 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Just be prepared to wait a long time for any drink other than what they are serving is brought back to you.

You do not grab a drink off of the waiter's try but are handed one or it is put down in front of you. Yes, you can order something else.
