Norwegian Gem - is room next to elevator noisy?

The NCL agent booked us in cabin 11575 on the Norwegian Gem.

The elevators are next to this room instead of another room being next to it.

Does anyone know if we will hear noise from the elevators operating?

The elevators are quite its the passengers that may cause a issue.

We almost always TRY to book right near the elevator as it's so convenient and we've never had a problem with noise.

I think its the people making the noise and not the elevators

I like to be near the elevator but not too close to hear the passengers

Not in my experience. On passenger decks, elevators are usually in a foyer with the stairways. There are halls leading off to cabins on either side. It's a very convenient place.

No, you didn't! We changed from the Gem to the Sun for a deeper caribbean itinerary.
