Choose today, cruise tomorrow

Has anyone ever used the "Choose today, cruise tomorrow" special onboard credit voucher?

Do you know if I can use this credit to Spa treatments, excursions and/or onboard shopping or if there are any restrictions? (I just couldn't find this information on the website)

Thank you a lot!

I managed to use it with a booking I've made for October. As far as I know it just works like any other onboard credit and can be used to offset onboard purchases. I think the casino is the only exception. I certainly intend to use mine for spa treatments.

Yes, me too!

Since we're having the Yacht Club all-inclusive benefit the only way we want to spend $400 is using the Spa and shopping!

This is new in Brazil, but I'm using it on our next cruise in February..I'll let you know if there are any restrictions :)

According to the E mail i have from MSC you can only use the voucher if you pay Full Brochure fare or booked using the Pronto price.

I asked the Club rep on my last MSC cruise about these vouchers as I'd never seen them before. She said it had to be brochure fare, which I would never pay for MSC, but I didn't know it also applied to Pronto Price fares.

  • 1 year later...

During our cruise last December in the Med, we purchased a cruise today cruise tomorrow coupon.

Two weeks ago we booked another cruise with MSC via *************.

Yesterday I heard back from their Director Reservations who indiacated they would not honor the coupon and give us the $150 OBC given the price we received was a promotion.

What angers me is that we discussed this with MSC Club rep onboard when we purchased the coupon. Every cruise we have booked has been discounted, we never would book a cruise at the brochure price. The rep assured us MSC would honor the coupon.

Well they did not in our case.

Waste of money IMO.

I've been unable to use mine on 5 cruises I've booked!

I got so frustrated I just threw it away.

Mis-sold, simple as that!

I wonder will MSCCruises USA care to comment?

For my last three bookings, I was able to get the voucher applied twice. That's a pretty good success rate. IMO, t's unreasonable to book at a super low special rate, expect the club discount to be applied, expect additional perks from the TA and then on top of it expect the voucher OBC.

The conditions are clearly stated on the back of the voucher and were also explained to us by the "future cruise consultant", so I knew what I was getting into. We have two kids in school, so have to travel during school breaks when prices are higher and specials are harder to find. In our case, the voucher helps ease the pain of booking at fulll (early booking) prices, which is likely exactly what it was designed to do.

May I refer you to a very similar discussion on this subject.

I have had recent, unjustified success :).

Thanks for the link to the previous thread on this.

I had considered purchasing one of these vouchers on my upcoming cruise when I came across them being sold on Splendida in February. As I'd already booked two further cruises at the time it wasn't practical to get one then. At E10 each they seem like great value but, going on others experience, maybe they're not such a good deal after all.

We apologize for any confusion related to the terms and conditions of the cruise voucher you purchased. We understand that a $25pp shipboard credit has been added to your account due to the inconvenience.

They do have restricted terms but they can be used - just depends on the cruises you book. It is definitely not worth it if you mainly do repos as they tend to be on promotional prices.

It was worth it for me, I benefitted by €190 by using it on an 11 night cruise to the Black Sea. Made a significant dent in the cost of theAllegrissimo! The only discounts it works with are the promo (early booking price) and the club discount.

If the cruises you usually book have other types of discounts or promotions, you can't use it.

It would be better if they perhaps reduced the OBC amounts and didn't make them so restrictive.
