Crown and Anchor teams up with M Life is official!

Recommended Posts

Have you signed in on the Mlife website yet and if so what level do they show you at Sapphire or Gold. We had Mlife sapphire cards which they changed to Platinum when we were in the Bellagio the other day but on the Mlife website it still shows us at Sapphire. I haven't been able to get anyone at the Mlife phone number who knows what is going on.

Their website has had issues for years. Support on the phone from someone who has correct answers - once you finally get through? Good luck! :)

As a MGM regular, I can tell you that there IT systems are among the worse of of the companies I deal with. Mlife is bad, but so are all their back office systems.

As to RCCL folks getting Gold, Plat cards etc. Here is my thinking. You are getting those as 'fake" members. Not being mean, but they are forcing the system to make you Gold or whatever. Their system is set up to only allow those levels based on earning it via gambling and spending. Therefore, I would guess their website may not show your tier level.

Not sure if that is a big deal if it does not, right??

So ...... all you needed was your RCI number? Did you need to tell the person you were Emerald, or were they able to determine / verify your status?

We are also Emerald and are heading to Vegas in a few weeks. I don't think I've ever had an RCI card (does such a thing exist). I didn't know if I need to try to get RCI cards before we go or if our ID numbers will suffice.

In Vegas, we play mainly at CET properties, but like to wander. If I'm at a MLife property, I might as well be getting as many perks as possible.

Yup - we gave them our C&A number. I doubt there was any verification - the first cards they gave us were Sapphire. I had to explain that we were Emerald and then they re-issued the cards.

I have, but as others stated, it's very slow. I called the MLife number from a previous post but they couldn't really answer many questions other than, the cards are not linked and I would be Gold when I came in to pick the cards up. By the way, they don't send you cards, you have to physically go to one of the casinos and hit up the players club counter.

Not a big deal but just trying to find out how you would go about getting some of the MGM "perks" listed on the email we received, like presale ticket access to concerts, and access to "exclusive/personalized offers". On our Mlife account we have personalized offers but they are for the Sapphire level that we had with MGM not the new Platinum level we got being Diamond Plus with Royal.

Unless you have a casino host for presale ticket access to concerts call the casino hotel box office for that show and give the agent your M-Life number to get that perk.

Offers will come to you just like they always have since you are already M-life, some in email, some in snail mail and sometimes online when you actually get lucky enough to have the M-Life website working.

As far as offers like comps, free play, F&B credit you will only get those at whatever your gambling level is with M-Life not your tier level of pearl, gold or platinum and that's actually the way it is usually for those of us who gambled up to our level. For example someone who is new to M-life but gambled a lot on their 1st trip or 2nd, could received better offers then someone who is Platinum or even NOIR who either got the points more slowly by taking many trips to Vegas or being a local who goes on a regular basis, or someone at Platinum or NOIR stopped playing their usual level and low rolled instead on their trips.

In response to the following questions (addressed to Mlife):

With Mlife my Platinum status requires annual play at a sufficient level to retain my card. For those Diamond Plus Royal Caribbean guests they are now automatically given a Platinum card.

1 > Is that card without an expiration date (since they will always be Diamond Plus with Royal) - for as long as the partnership continues?

2> With that Platinum card in hand, are they then eligible to get the free 4-5 night cruise each year through Club Royale?

I received the following reply:

Good Afternoon,

The M life Platinum status will expire each year on Sept 30. After that, you can go to an M life desk or call VIP Casino services to have your tier set back to Platinum. Yes, effectively your Platinum Tier will never expire as long as you renew via one of the previous methods mentioned.

The Platinum card alone does not automatically qualify that member for the complimentary cruise. Only M life members who earned Platinum tier through their gaming and non-gaming spend will be sent a promotional offer for the annual complimentary cruise. Members who were awarded the tier from another relationship program, such as Ameristar, do not qualify for this benefit.

So how does one sign up to receive their card?

As some have posted earlier, you have to go into the casino and go to the desk to get a card.

They do not do them via mail. The idea from their perspective is to get people INTO the casino.

Do not be surprised when you get there that they have trouble finding your record and you have to start all over again. Since you have to appear in person anyways, and show your ID, waiting makes way more sense.

I am in Las Vegas for a work conference this weekend and went to

the desk at MGM Grand. I had called two days ago and had already given

all of my information to them over the phone. I had my Crown & Anchor number, etc with me (I even thought about taking a SeaPass that showed my level, but forgot to pack it). But I didn't need any of that...they had it all set from my phone call, so I guess I got the right person on the phone and at the desk.

When I went to the desk today...the person asked for my identification.

Looked it all up in the computer and found it. Asked to make sure that

all was correct--that I was Diamond Plus with RCL and that I was still

at the same address/phone/email, etc. As I had not gambled there in

a couple of years, they just wanted to make sure that all was in order.

They then gave me my Platinum card, and said that it would have to

be reset at some point..that it was only for a year, and then I would have to come back to the desk for an update. They did say that I would never be dropped from my Platinum level--only that I would have to get a new card later.

They gave me a printed page with all of the benefits.

From the time I stood in line until I left with my new card was no more than a few minutes. Very easy process.

Do you have to book with RCCL in order to receive the MLife benefits or can I book elsewhere and still get the MLife stuff?

I've not read anything about restricted bookings being required for the MLife benefits.

I guess I will give them a call and find out :) Will let you know what they say :) I am only a Gold member though so its only minor benefits for me, but still worth taking advantage of

Just called them an unfortunately they are closed today... The guy I spoke with said he "thinks" that you would have to book directly with RCCL in order to take advantage of the MLife offers... I guess I will call back tomorrow to the MLife RCCL department to find out for sure... I hate that the cruise lines do not match prices and offers of other websites...

So I understand that if being diamond+ makes me platinum with mlife, I won't get a free cruise, but will I get any of the other perks from platinum, like the free drink coupons?

My guess is if you're an "honorary" Mlife Platinum card holder, there won't be any reciprocal benefits from Royal - as the Platinum card was not earned via MGM gaming activity.

I could be wrong, but that's the way it looks to me.

Tom: I agree with you as well. Platinium will give you all of the perks that are "free" but the cruises will not be part of the package unless they are earned through gaming.

Does not do us any good as we are Diamond members in Harrah's Total Rewards program and basically get free rooms and related benefits (comps/cash) in Vegas and A.C.

I am also a loyal Harrahs Total Rewards Card Holder. They are teamed up with NCL but I sure wish they would team up with RC. Been on several NCL cruises and the 20% discount for cabins and free drinks in casino on ships is definitely a nice perk.

My cruise was booked through a TA... I called mLife after the fact and they added all of the goodies to my account. He said to go to the casino when we board and they will give us vouchers for all of the "stuff."

You called MLife to get the RCCL "goodies"? I am trying to figure out how RCCL will know that I am a Platinum with MLife.
