Crown and Anchor teams up with M Life is official!

Recommended Posts

We got an e.mail last week from C&A UK. It was inviting us to a free 3 night break inlcuding tickets to Cirque and a meal somewhere at the MGM Grand , Vegas. Unfortunately transport costs were not included and we were otherwise engaged, the date was sometime at end of Feb.:)

For info we are Pinnacle C&A members

I also got an invite........even though I live closer than you,we'll pass too(because of the airfare)

We just received an invitation for 3 nights at the MGM Grand, cocktail party, etc. Unfortunately (how can a cruise be unfortunate?), we will be on the Navigator OTS. :)

But then I'd rather be cruising. :)

Too bad........you wouldn't have to worry about airfare.;)

Lucky timing but we were in the process of booking a weekend in Vegas at the Aria when this was first reported on CC. I made a few calls and was able to convert D+ status to Platinum in Mlife. There are a few discounts here and there but the best perk is a 20% discount on the room. Call Mlife and be prepared with your C&A numbers.

I wish I could get the same....I've called 3 times and each time I was told they don't want my C&A info. We are already Gold with M Life.....it would be nice just to bump up to Platinum.

With that said.....we have made reservations at Bellagio for DH birthday in February.....will see what happens!

BTW...we know where you live :D We are originally from Orland Park!

Please report back here after your trip in February. I'm holding out a little bit to see if things get worked out before I call Mlife to see if our C&A status makes any difference in our reservation or perks. Our trip to Vegas isn't until the end of May.

Small world! I've lived here all my life. Actually just South of you in Mokena.

The place has really grown. You aren't missing much!

Good luck to all those taking advantage of the program. My impression is that each company's customer service is somewhat in the dark on how it is supposed to work.

Best thing about Mlife Platinum is the buffet line pass and taxi line pass. Mlife has recently dialed back the comp benefits and increased the point earning requirements to the point where there is no point to make a special effort at attaining Platinum.

The ongoing free offers in Vegas are more based on your average daily theoretical losses than on level.

Actually the best benefit of Mlife platinum now is probably the free cruise on RCCL.:)

Agreed... we are blessed to have been able to reach both Platinum in MLife and Diamond with RCCL. We will get a free 3-5 night cruise from this partnership (which I am very happy about!!!!), but pretty much zero perks in the other direction. Also, in October when we (mostly likely) will drop down from Platinum, either to Gold or Pearl. Do you think that we will 'start off' with gold level amount of tier credits and have to earn from that as a starting point? Or will we still start with 0 and earn from there. Between here and Tripadvisor's Las Vegas board it doesn't sound like anybody has an answer to this, but it will be interesting to see! :)

Safe travels everyone!

On the phone with Royal as we speak. Apparently, according to the person I'm speaking with, it's not a "level for level" thing, but more a perks awarded for your level with the other organization.

I am being told that, being Platinum with Mlife, that I will be eligible for (among other things):

A free (less gratuities and taxes) 3, 4, or 5 night sailing in an ocean view cabin on a few different ships.

Comp specialty dinner for two

3% fee waived in the casino

10 drink vouchers

On hold now...

Tom

Please let us know what you find out. :)

Confused!! I just called M Life and wanted to give them our C&A info, they wouldn't take it. They said when we call for a room then they would give us the discount. Well anybody can call and say they are D, D+ or PC.

I know we will be going soon to Bellagio, since we are already M Life card holders, it would be nice to be bumped up to the next level.

I called MLife for myself....and the person answering the phone was happy to take my C&A #. She said we were Platinum and would have to pick up our cards at the MLife desk at the hotel. Later....when DH called...the young man who answered the phone had no idea what DH was talking about. He only wanted to know how he could help book a hotel or entertainment. After a bit of back and forth with someone else at MLife he finally took the C&A #. I then logged into the MLife website. Each of us shows "no points" and are at the lowest level. Should anything show up on the website to reflect our level???

Tier credits are reset to zero -- and you get to start the climb all over again from scratch ("reproving" your worth to them). I went from just shy of 1,000,000 back to 0, though it still shows me as Platinum - and should through the end of September. However, we're talking about Mlife here!

Successfully booked a 4 night cruise!

The Mlife page is about as accurate about as often as a 10 day out weather forecast. It's a long running joke!

I'm a little confused, are these just hotels in vegas? or can be used anywhere, I'm only gold member, almost to next level w/ rccl, can anyone explain :) doesn't disney have mgm?

Disney's relationship with MGM was only for the naming of MGM Studios theme park at Orlando and that ended years back. It is now Disney Hollywood Studios.

You can look here to see which resorts are part of MGM in all of their locations!

Stones: When you come to Vegas, give us a call and we'll try and have a drink together! Easy for us since John works on the Strip at Caesars.

Thank you and we appreciate the offer! We are meeting some friends out there in April. We'll be in PHX the week before and I have never done that drive through the dessert to Vegas so we are looking forward to a different experience.

BTW, how was your 2nd leg on the Oasis? It sounded like there were some weather issues reading from others posts?

We drive to Laughlin and Vegas all the time, it is a nice drive plenty of mountains and desert.

M Life still won't take our C&A numbers, they keep telling me that it will depend on our casino play. So when we go next month I will bring our D+ C&A cards and see what happens.

Another great thing to look forward to when I become Diamond after my May cruise. It does seem that the the M people get better benefits on RC than Diamond/ Diamond plus get at the M hotels. It would be nice if Diamond plus got a free cruise/drinks/dinner instead of some welcome food and drink when they cruise!

I would imagine that RCI does not mind throwing out the free sailings to Platinum/Noir Mlife card holders as they are a proven entity (gamblers). They figure that they might just get a return on their "investment"!

MGM, on the other hand, looks at the frequent cruiser as a possible player - hoping to at least get some decent spending out of them on food, shopping, and such.

The 2nd leg on the Oasis was fine, just a little bit rockier than the first which was smooth as glass! I was the one who had the most cruises on the second leg so it was a special time! BTW, the drive from PHX to Vegas could be hot/wet so watch the weather carefully. Desert floods are not fun! The trip is about four to five hours long. Take the new highway that takes you past the Boulder Dam. :)

I just talked to Ron at MLife, at first he said it did not apply to established members of both groups. I then emailed him the level to level breakdown posted above and he took my C&A # and came back after a 10 minute hold to offer a 99 dollar room rate through June and would convert my current MLife card to platinum upon arrival and presentation of my C&A D+ card.
