Was it crowded? Do they sell day passes and if so can you purchase them prior to the date? How much for day pass and how far from cruise terminal and how much for cab? Sorry to ask so many lquestions but we will be there in November on our 14 night cruise and have been finding it difficult to find a great beach to go to. We will be on the island for 15 hours. Is it all inclusive?

Cabana Beach is one of a long stretch of beaches, right next to Sea Aquarium beach. If you get dropped off at Cabana, when you enter the beach there is a worker sitting there who will collect $3. When you enter, there are shops and a restaurant/bar right there and you walk through that area to get to the actual beach. Pick a chair - any chair - and someone will come along to collect your money. You can also pay the worker at the entrance but you should probably look over the choices first to determine the lounger type you want.

Since you are LUCKY enough to have such an extended amount of time on the island, you might want to do an island tour and then have the driver drop you off at the beach. If you do this, the driver will arrange for a time to pick you up -- but don't do this unless you negotiate a really good price!!! Instead, just decide when you want to leave and go back to the main entrance...chances are there will be someone else leaving at the same time and you can share a cab. It is a flat fee of $20 back to the ship so if you can get a few people, it reduces the per person cost.

Thank you for the info. We were looking for a sandy beach for the day. Then we plan on returning to the ship late afternoon to shower and eat and the go on the island to do a little shopping and maybe a sunset cruise. It sounds like cabana beach is perfect.
