Netta7 Posted February 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2013 We have a room reserved at the Suites the night before our Spring Break cruise. Given that it is Spring Break we know everything will be crowded. Suggestions? Shuttle or taxi? Any other suggestions? We are a family of 4 and want to get to the dock at 11. Thank you! CruiserBruce Posted February 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2013 Taxi - about $10-12+tip Good luck! :) I agree. If you read down the board, this has been discussed in general terms almost daily.
bills blasters Posted February 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2013 For sure take the taxi. You might not be able to get there that early if you wait for the shuttle. We have stayed at places where the shuttle doesn't even start until 11:30. We have stayed there 3 times and have always used a taxi. Lou33 Posted February 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2013 Even if I had a free shuttle, I would pay $15 for a taxi. You go on your schedule, no waiting, no extra stops, no aggrevation.
Rare JamesEM Posted February 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2013 All the luggage and 4 people may not fit into one cab, so it maybe easier to take the shuttle.

I agree a larger cab may be needed - especially if any in this family pack like my wife! :o Van and SUV cabs are available for the same price as a standard cab -- the front desk can call for a larger cab if needed; the shuttle is slower and more expensive. kdawg954 Posted February 6, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 6, 2013 I'd take 2 cabs before taking the shuttle. It really isn't far from the port. But yea, they can get you a larger cab if need be.
WendyVF Posted February 6, 2013 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2013 The Embassy Suites will be packed (we've stayed there twice before Easter Cruises). You will want to check the shuttle times so you can be sure to avoid the elevators during those times. Definitely take a cab, it will be less hassel and stress. Eng23 Posted February 7, 2013 #10 Share Posted February 7, 2013 Take a taxi. Take two if you have a large amount of luggage. To the port is $10-$12 and you go when you want to go.
