French Polynesia Cruise vs Land Vacation

Does anyone have contact information for Mark Eddowes? We'll be on Moorea for 3 days before our PG cruise this fall, and I'd like to book with him during that time rather than gamble on the weather the 1 day we'll be in Moorea on the cruise.

We've gone through the same quandary: cruise (Princess vs PG vs Windstar) or land based.

Some of our thoughts :

- We've cruised Princess' larger ships and wanted to try their smaller ship (versus someone else's) to compare

- All in PG is similar pricing to Princess for lower level cabins but for comparable suites PG is a lot more

- PG has the benefit of lots more date options - Princess sailings are getting fewer (plus they're selling the Ocean Princess in March 2016 and most expect the Pacific Princess to be sold next)

- We also are using miles so that ended up factoring into the final equation

- We like to cruise to be sailing on the water and didn't want to be just on land and see cruise ships go by only to wish we were on one

- We also like the idea of having food included (and our kind of food with lotbof choices)

- We, too, have always wanted to do an OWB

Our conclusion: since we're flying Hawaiian and they fly HNL-PPT only on Saturdays we are "forced" to stay a day pre-cruise and 3 days post-cruise (on Moorea in an OWB). I know you said you can't do longer so know that part doesn't apply for you...

Two other thoughts were (1) a cruise let's us sample the islands just in case we'd be lucky enough to return for a longer land stay someday and (b) even though I'm a thorough researcher we don't like the idea of traveling that far, spending that much, and maybe not liking our destination choice since it was "sight unseen.'

Hope some of the above helps with your thinking.
