    • Not unless it's so cheap I don't care if the toilets work

    • Not a chance. Old ship, problems with a track record....

They need to invest money and upgrade all the equipment. Over time they can prove the ship is a good one if it doesnt have more issues after its supposidly fixed.

And i sure hope they replace all the carpets and matresses etc.

I am sure they'll do that, but from reports I am seeing, how do you get the sewage out of the walls, ceiling and hidden areas?

We are about to sail on Splendor, whose troubles were worse, because a bucket-list cruise came available at a good price. If some sequence of unlikely miracles brings Costa Concordia back into the fleet offering a cheap cruise out of Seattle to Hong Kong we'd book in an instant. Same parameters for Triumph.

We have been on her once and yes we would sail her again! We did the Behind the Scenes Tour and we were amazed at the amount of work that goes on behind closed doors! Awesome crew, wonderful time and I am sure it will be that good again!

Still booked for May 6th, final payment not due until March 7th (ironically, the date of my cancelled cruise). I'm sticking with it, if the ship is ready, I'm going.

However, we chose to rebook our cancelled March trip on the Magic in August. I'm fine with keeping an existing booking, but I won't be making any new bookings on the Triumph until she's sailing again.

voted Never. Been on her twice and loved it, but I don't even want to think about the bacteria and germs growing where they will never clean.

Book on Breeze this summer and will continue with Carnival but right now, just not this ship. that stuff is not easy to clean.

Nice to see you over here from the Celebrity boards :)

If it was going where I wanted to go and the price was right like all the cruises I go on, yep. She should be better than new with all the refurb I'm sure they're going to put her through. Well maybe I'll wait and see exactly what they do and what they replace. But I'll go with yes (for now).

what happened this time was not there fault and could happen to any cruise line BUT if Triumph has ANY problems over the next few years it will be HORRIBLE and anyone thinking of choosing Carnival knows this.

Every potential cruiser knows this and MORE IMPORTANTLY . . . . . Carnival knows this and they will make SURE that this ship is the safest ship to ever leave port.

EVERYTHING will be triple checked compared to the normal procedure.

The Carnival name and LOTS OF $$$ are depending on that ship and ALL OTHER Carnival cruise ships to be problem and error free for the next few years and prove that this was just a small mishap that could have happened o any cruise line and NOT a problem being lax with checking the ship or maintenance on the ship.

That being said . . . . . YES, I would book a cruise on Triumph for the very first outing or any other outing they have.

thanks,

Some act as if they would discard anything that has had any repairs as if the product was defective. But we all know they don't. Yes, jet engines are repaired, along with train engines, and car engines. People rebuild burned homes too. I have seen nature rebuild her burnt forests and grasslands.

Nope i wouldnt. But has nothing to do with what happened on the triumph. Did a cruise last year on Carnival. Never seen such a dirty ship. Tables around the buffett area were covered in dirty plates for hours. If you found one without dirty plates they were that sticky you stuck to them. The staff were just standing around looking like they would rather be anywhere else. When you walked into the buffet area there was this stench of like off fat or something. Was an eye opener. Was like a ghetto cruise. Hubbie said dont you ever book us on Carnival again. Our TA wrote a letter of complaint but never got a reply.
