JAKUEHNLE Posted February 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I will be on a HAL cruise this Aug. and not use to the HAL CC board. It seems hard to find folks talking about what tours they have set up off the ship! Is that a CC board or a Facebook look alike?;)
Barrheadlass Posted February 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2013 It works the same for HAL and O, just go to the roll call for your cruise...

Floridiana Posted February 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2013 HAL has so many ships that their board is filled with all sorts of questions and lengthy discussions on dress code, smoking, whining about how cruising has lost its luster etc. ;)
Barrheadlass Posted February 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2013 And the HAL board also has lots of folks who are very happy with HAL and book over and over again...not all negative.

It seems hard to find folks talking about what tours they have set up off the ship! Is that a CC board or a Facebook look alike?;) HAL charges less per person for identical offerings of excursions that are also offered by Oceania and usually has more excursions on offer per port of call, so unless you want a very personalized tour with people who are in your roll call, perhaps in a small van, the money savings in organizing a tour which are substantial with Oceania are negligible on HAL. In some ports, Alaska, for example, you can even find the tour operator at the dock (usually at the bottom of the gangway of HAL's ships), and choose a tour at literally the last minute. I do not prefer HAL to Oceania, but I sure prefer HAL's excursion prices.
