Lyon Arboretunm Near Honolulu

Hi folks,

 

I posted this over on the Hawaii port forum and received only one response that I should look elsewhere. Can you help?

 

Since our cruise stops in Honolulu, we were considering an excursion to the Lyon Arboretum. We both have knee issues and find hills and rough terrain difficult to handle.

 

For those of you that have been there, how are the paths in the arboretum? Mostly flat? Mostly hilly? Some paths flat, other very hilly? There are no paths?

I googled "Lyon Arboretum Honolulu" and found a lot of info including a description of the trails and reviews - you may be able to find info this way.

If you want a smaller garden to explore but no less impressive (IMO) you could look at info on the Foster Botanical Garden which was easy to do (I have knee issues too) but offered an amazing array of gorgeous plant and tree specimens. We loved it. (Google it for photos. I can't attach any here.)
