Cruises in Europe more formal????

Recommended Posts

I've read in several places that the cruises in/around Europe are more formal. Is that true? I'm not concerned about the 2 formal nights, it's the other 8 that cause concern..... All of my cruises have been restricted to the Caribbean and they are, for the most part, casual.

IME, Europeans are, in general, more formal than Americans. On my Med cruises, there has been a good percentage of Europeans and they are, in general, a well dressed lot.

Based upon my cruising here vs the Med, I would say your thoughts are correct.

I am packing now for a Med cruise. The formal nights are easy. I am packing dresses with heels for the other 5 nights.
