whatsnext Posted June 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2005 I've read in several places that the cruises in/around Europe are more formal. Is that true? I'm not concerned about the 2 formal nights, it's the other 8 that cause concern..... All of my cruises have been restricted to the Caribbean and they are, for the most part, casual. IME, Europeans are, in general, more formal than Americans. On my Med cruises, there has been a good percentage of Europeans and they are, in general, a well dressed lot. Based upon my cruising here vs the Med, I would say your thoughts are correct. I am packing now for a Med cruise. The formal nights are easy. I am packing dresses with heels for the other 5 nights. whatsnext Posted June 8, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted June 8, 2005 Thank you. I "thought" they dressed more often than we did. I will continue with my packing as I first thought.
