Top 2 articles are pitches for the Quest's Antartica's cruises. Me thinks the phones in Seattle are not ringing off the hook for these itineraries. I wonder why?????????

I haven't checked pricing in a while but IIRC those voyages seemed to have a cost upgrade compared to trips of the same duration. Also aren't they heading into their fall/winter down there increasing the potential "fun" factor of the ocean?

I imagine at least part of the higher price is dues to higher costs. They will be providing a number of expedition personnel among other things.

The Antarctic cruises do cost the company a great deal more, I am sure. Having done one years ago, it is wonderful for anyone fit enough to board Zodiac landing craft. I feel the very high prices are bound to mean that there are fewer people who feel they can afford them, plus a few who know they are not fit enough to take full advantage of all that is offered.
