Daydream Island is close to the mainland, only 15 mins away by ferry.

We have booked that excursion too - we last visited Daydream 20 years ago , so are looking forward to revisiting it and seeing all the changes. I dont remember too much about the beach there - we mainly used the pool because our children were toddlers then. I do recall one side of the island was all rocky, and one part of the beach was used for activities like wind sailing etc but you should be able to find somewhere to relax on the beach
