Missywantstotravel Posted March 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2013 I was thinking of cruising on the military rate, as I am a veteran. Yet when I originally got my DD214 it was under my first husbands last name. I have since been divorced and remarried. I tried asking Carnival but got no response so I will ask you guys. What do I need to do to prove it is me? Will my VA ID card or a letter from the VA with active duty dates on it be sufficient? If this won't work then I guess I have to go ES. No biggie but I am just curious.
Rare Essiesmom Posted March 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Submit the DD214 to the cruise line, along with the paper trail to show why your name is different. EM

NorthernLite Posted March 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2013 If you still have the same passport with the name change page with the raised seal use it and the DD214. Once onboard you can show them the raised seal page if they question you. But I'd talk to guest relations if you're a regular with them and have them notate the change or if you use a TA have them notate it.
