Bayou Boy Posted March 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2013 I am going on my first Oceania cruise and have a few questions. 1.The Regatta is scheduled to arrive in Rio on 3/17 at 8:00 am for the first day of a two day stay from another Brazilian port. What is the average length of time from docking until passengers can disembark for tours, etc.? Thirty minutes, one hour? 2. What is the normal time to debark on the last day? Also, is breakfast served, and if so, is it a full buffet or continental?

Mura Posted March 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Regarding first day arrival, there is always a question as to when the ship is cleared. Once it is cleared, you can leave. We usually allow for problems but the fact is that the ship usually arrives earlier than scheduled. Still, no guarantees. It's best to assume there will be problems. You can have breakfast in the GDR on the debark day, but it is early! You can also go to the buffet. (We normally go to the GDR but that is us.) Wendy The Wanderer Posted March 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2013 The fact that you're coming from another Brazilian port will probably mean you won't have to clear Customs & Immigration, which I would imagine would speed things up a bit.
