I have been looking around for the same information.

It does appear that many towns' visitors centers have maps available for self guided tours.

[A=Lady Slipper;37375701]I`d like your views and to hear your experiences. We are going to be in Juneau, Ketchican & Icy Point in early May.

 

Head to your library and take out Frommer's Alaska and Fodor's Alaska, but have informative walking tours. As mentioned- each visitor center usually has walking tour brochures.

 

You may also want to consider getting out of the cities.
