Men's Jacket on the Allure?

Just off a Holland ship and a jacket was a requirement to the MDR on formal nights. Also dress shorts were not allowed in MDR on casual nights.

What is RCCL policy?

Jackets and ties for men are suggested in the dress code but if he doesn't wear one to dinner on Formal Night, he will not be denied entrance to the Dining Room. Many men remove their jackets when they sit down, anyway. The other nights are casual and jacket is definitely not required. Shorts are not permitted in the Dining Room at dinner on any night (breakfast and lunch, shorts are OK).

Jeans are not even listed in the suggested dress code on the RCI website so yes, nice jeans are permitted.

RCI looser, but I personally wouldn't wear jeans in MDR. I did wear shorts the last night. Otherwise dress slacks or khakis, and Tux for formals.

 

I found that on Allure, more people dressed up than when I was on Liberty. But every Cruise is different I suppose.

Khakis and polo shirt (any shirt with a collar) is fine for smart casual nights.
