Shimrod Posted August 8, 2014 #228 Share Posted August 8, 2014 Cabin Number: 115 (deck 7) Cruise Ship: Spirit Date of Cruise: 12/07/2014 Bed Formation: Fixed Double Bath/Shower?: Bath & Shower only Adjoining Cabin?: No Balcony?: No Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Slightly shorter, but wider than the standard deluxe cabin. Larger than we were expecting. Comment on any Noise Issues: The cabin is over a set of deck 6 doors leading to the outside promenade. These can close with a loud bang. Could be a problem if you are a late riser or early sleeper. Comment on Storage Space: Plenty of drawers, 2x wardrobes and a plenty of space under the bed for luggage storage. Comment on the Bathroom: Standard size, nice and clean. Any Other Comments?: I would book this cabin again. Good view through the windows, only slightly obstructed by a crane for one of the lifeboats. Good position to get up to the top decks or down to deck 5. Good blackout curtains kept the room dark Would You Recommend this Cabin?: Yes Link to any Images: Score out of 10:
jojo67 Posted August 11, 2014 #229 Share Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) Cabin Review Format Cabin Number: 925 Cruise Ship: Majesty Date of Cruise: 25 July 2014 Bed Formation: twin Bath/Shower?: shower Adjoining Cabin?: no Balcony?: yes Comment on the Size of the Cabin: outside plus with a balcony, of an average size. Comment on any Noise Issues: horrendous noise from the sun deck above, dragging of tables and chairs, buffet trolleys being wheeled from one end of the shop to the other, and sleeping was impossible when a deck party was in progress. Comment on Storage Space: A triple wardrobe with lots of hanging space, a bedside set of drawers and a larger chest of drawers, plenty for two people. Comment on the Bathroom: a wet room layout with a slight slope to the floor into the shower cubicle, no shelves for storage of toiletries though. Any Other Comments?:completely non obstructed balcony view. jojo67 Posted August 11, 2014 #230 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Cabin Review Format Cabin Number: 923 Cruise Ship: Majesty Date of Cruise: 25 July 2014 Bed Formation: double bed with double sofa bed Bath/Shower?: Bath with shower over Adjoining Cabin?: no Balcony?: no Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Very small for a suite, almost impossible to move between beds when the sofa bed was up and being used. Comment on any Noise Issues: Dreadful noise issues from the sun deck above. Tables and chairs being set up and put away at 2.30am and again at 5.30am. Constant noise from buffet trolleys being wheeled between Cafe Royal and Piazza San Marco and have up trying to sleep at all on the nights a deck party was held, by the time the music was switched off at 2.00am and the chairs were cleared away by 3.30am, they started setting them all out again at 5.30am. Comment on Storage Space: inadequate for 3 persons, not sure how 4 would manage if the cabin were fully occupied, a walk in wardrobe with one ling hanging rail and a small cupboard with 3 shelves, a cupboard bedside the sofa bed with 3 shelves and one small set of drawers beside the double bed. Comment on the Bathroom: A bath with shower over, part screen, part curtain. 3 small inset shelves for storing toiletries and two hooks on the back of the door. Any Other Comments?: Would You Recommend this Cabin?: NO! Link to any Images: Score out of 10: 2/
GaryT-UK Posted August 11, 2014 #231 Share Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) Cabin Number: 962 (Single Outside) Cruise Ship: Thomson Majesty Date of Cruise: 18/7/2014 Bed Formation: 2 single beds & a pull down Bath/Shower?: Shower only Adjoining Cabin?: No Balcony?: No Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Okay for a single person, can't imagine it sleeping 3. Comment on any Noise Issues: Serious vibration coming into some ports. Next door to the Kids Club, but hardly heard them, although parents did queue outside on some evenings & were more noisy than the kids! Not a big issue though. Comment on Storage Space: Small wardrobe - only really big enough for one. Plenty of drawers though & suitcases fit under the beds. Comment on the Bathroom: shower / toilet. Definitely in need of a refresh, with some signs of black around the shower. Any Other Comments?: Given this is sold as a single outside it was disappointing to have 2/3 single beds instead of one double. It was comfortable for one person though. Kettle with tea & coffee was installed mid cruise. Has a window. Last cabin, so easy to find, not far from the aft staircase, one deck up to Piazza San Marco & 4 down to 7 Seas, so convenient for food. You Recommend this Cabin?: Not too bad, for a single cabin. link to any Images: Score out of 10: 7 Edited August 11, 2014 by GaryT-UK

Broughton Posted August 19, 2014 #233 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Sorry not a cabin review but thought someone on this thread might be able to advise. Was on Celebration last year and had cabin 707 Deck 3 outside. It was down an alcove so quiet, very spacious and well placed for lifts. We are thinking of booking the Celebration again next year and thought about paying the extra £42 to get the same cabin. However when I look at the current ship map online the cabin numbers appear to have changed. Can anyone confirm this is the case.
Broughton Posted August 19, 2014 #234 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Just ignore previous post. Was on desk 3 Majesty this year. 707 on the Celebration is deck 2. Definitely need a holiday. I'll go ahead and book.

At night I can only presume it was high heels on the dance floor which again was very noisy but heard no music from the disco just the dancing feet! Comment on Storage Space: Good wardrobe had plenty of hangers and lots of drawer space. Comment on the Bathroom: shower curtain didn't go all the way across as the runner was broken but otherwise fine. Any Other Comments?: Window was a good size and clean. TV was sat on the dresser would have been better on the wall when watching in bed. Kettle and water jug provided. Would You Recommend this Cabin?: No unless you are a VERY heavy sleeper! Comment on Storage Space: Good wardrobe Comment on the Bathroom: the toilet over flowed 4 times in two weeks Any Other Comments?: good cabin, but feel that those on deck 9 would be better for accessing the rest of the ship due to the way the lifts work. davecttr Posted November 9, 2014 #248 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Cabin Number: 5008 Cruise Ship: Thomson Dream Date of Cruise: 1st November 2014 Bed Formation: Single Bath/Shower?: Shower Adjoining Cabin?: No Balcony?: No Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Plenty of space for one. It is actually a double cabin with drop down upper bed but this is not used. Fridge, tea making facilities etc. This is the shortest of the 3 cabins, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2016 has a large amount of space between the bottom of the bed and the bathroom wall. Bed might be too small for tall people. Comment on any Noise Issues: Surprisingly quiet except when the bow thrusters are operating. Sailing through a force 11 only generated a creak now and then. Comment on Storage Space: Excellent. Two wardrobe spaces, 3 drawers, bedside table with shelf & drawer, desk and a wide shelf in front of the porthole Comment on the Bathroom: In excellent condition, looks recently retiled with good, powerful shower. Any Other Comments?: I would have given this cabin a higher score if they had replaced the bed with a larger one as they have done on other ships.
