Limo Service from Newark Hotel to Manhattan Cruise Port

Hello All...Were staying at the Country Inn & Suites in Newark(via Park & Cruise with Stay-123) and cruising out of Manhattan Cruise Port on Carnival 'Splendor' this July. Stay-123 suggest's we use a Limo Service called 'Independant Driver' on their web site. Anyone used them recently?. Their rates are very reasonable($93.00 for 4-people each way,incl.tolls,etc.). Any info. would be appreciated !

We always use Dial 7 between Newark and Manhattan.

We used independent driver last year but to Cape Liberty port from CI & S.

We are considering a cruise out of NYC on Breakaway next Jan. and would stay at CI & S again. What is Dial 7? I assume it is another car service? And how much?

I checked out Dial 7 website...very professional and fairly decent rates.

Hi 'dcruisers' !. Last year we stayed at the 'Residence Inn' on glimcher realty way, next store to the 'Country Inn & Suites' on our 'Explorer' cruise to Bermuda. Very nice stay. They have a shuttle service direct to the cruise ship pier at Cape Liberty but 'Not' to the pier in Manhattan. You must either drive over or use a van/limo service to the NY.pier. Were using a service called 'Independent Driver' for 4-people(very reasonable,found them on the stay-123 web site). This time in July were staying at the 'CI & S' for our Carnival 'Splendor' cruise. Will do a review when we get back!.

Hi Fellow cruisers...Sorry for the confusion, Residence Inn does not offer free shuttle to port in Bayonne, NJ, but the Country Inn and Suites does...so consider this before you book a shuttle service to Bayonne, NJ(Cape Liberty) only...not Manhattan port...Check with CI &S before you book another shuttle service

Just to clarify for others. The Country Inns shuttle is not "free". You either must pay for a more expensive cruise package or pay $35/pp for the round trip shuttle.

Thanks for the clarification on that...we were not aware of the charges for either a more expensive package or shuttle fees
