How long does desembakement take?

Our cruise will be back at POM at 7 a.m. in early May. What is usual procedure, when do they typically want people to clear rooms (or the ship), would there still be breakfast, can we decide to still stay in the room until 8 or 9 a.m., how long does it usually take until we are outside the port, are car rental shuttles readily available at the port or do we have to call etc.

Thanks for the input, traveling with a 1 and 3 yr old is so much harder... It would make it easier to know what to expect.

Your checked luggage will be collected the night before. Unless you have an early flight and want to carry all of your stuff off the ship you can enjoy one last breakfast in the MDR; your stateroom attendant will be trying to clean and prepare your room, so you are bet to take your carry on luggage with you. They will be calling passengers to leave by an assigned number (, VIPs, Platinum, etc. & early flights and passengers who paid for an excursion get off first) -- typically the last passengers are off the ship by 9:00 or so. Good luck! :)
