You can verify that your CCL stock ownership was posted by checking your Online Payment page on the HAL website. Here is some info from the link I provided a few posts above: Carnival Corporation & plc is pleased to extend the following benefit to our shareholders: North America Brands: Onboard credit per stateroom on sailings of 14 days US $250 Onboard credit per stateroom on sailings of 7 to 13 days US $100 Onboard credit per stateroom on sailings of 6 days or less US $ 50 The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2014 aboard the brands listed below. Certain restrictions apply. Applications to receive these benefits should be made at least two weeks prior to cruise departure date. This benefit is available to shareholders holding a minimum of 100 shares of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc. Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer. This benefit is not transferable and cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account. Only one onboard credit per shareholder-occupied stateroom. Does one have to have owned the shares for any specific length of time before the cruise on which the OBC is to be used? 2. Has anyone had trouble getting the stockholder OBC combined with other offers, such as a TA's OBC or a promotional OBC from the cruise line? 3. When Carnival says that "anyone traveling on a reduced rate" isn't eligible for the OBC, they don't mean anyone who has paid less than the "brochure" rate, do they? These questions don't seem to be answered by the Carnival online document, so I thought I would try here, then call Carnival if nec. Thanks. No. You can send them a recent month end statement showing that you own the 100 shares. You could have bought the shares a few days before month end. 2. No problem, I have done this twice with HAL with a $100 TA credit plus the shareholder OBC 3. Never paid the brochure rate and I've got the benefit. I think this is for a narrowly defined class of people such as TA's etc who get on cruises for real cheap rates. One other note, they keep extending the offer its updated every year. NO -- but you must submit your request for the OBC at least 2 weeks before your cruise date. You need to submit proof of ownership. 2. Has anyone had trouble getting the stockholder OBC combined with other offers, such as a TA's OBC or a promotional OBC from the cruise line? No -- we have been getting the shipboard credit for years and it was combined with TA shipboard credit, American Express shipboard credit and HAL shipboard credit. 3. When Carnival says that "anyone traveling on a reduced rate" isn't eligible for the OBC, they don't mean anyone who has paid less than the "brochure" rate, do they? These questions don't seem to be answered by the Carnival online document, so I thought I would try here, then call Carnival if nec. Thanks. Some people have been able to get the OBC when they booked at a reduced rate while others who booked through a "Flash Sale" could not get the OBC. That was the only time my wife wasn't eligible to get her CCL OBC. Our travel agent had a last minute type group where we were saving about $2000/pp. That was much better than the $250 OBC anyway so we didn't mind. I must also send in the monthly broker's statement? I sent in the transaction confirmation last weekend and have not yet heard from HAL. Should I wait to hear from them or just send in the broker's statement? I think you are exactly right. Otherwise people could buy stock, keep the certificate, but sell the stock. Just about to leave on a HAL cruise which we booked late. I fax'd the paper work over last Thur (one day before the 2 week limit) and when I called HAL over the weekend the credit had already been applied to the account. If you call any other number and you''ve booked through a TA, it is very likely they will just refer you back to your TA, or so I've heard.
