Carnival Sunshine Cancelled Air Question

Hi,

 

I am trying to help my mom reschedule her 4/26 Sunshine cruise to the 6/7 Sunshine. I cannot get a straight answer from anyone on the phone or they hang up on me.

 

Does anyone know if someone rebooks will Carnival pay for the difference in airfare as well. If not she won't go because the flight are $1500 more than in April.

Guests on the canceled Carnival Sunshine voyages will receive a full refund, plus reimbursement for any non-refundable travel costs. Additionally, they will receive a 25 percent discount on a future cruise

 

Looks like they will not pay the difference.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. We will cancel and Carnival will now pay for her airfare to be refunded as its 100% non-refundable. Another $2200 out of Carnival's pocket.

 

They are now going to go to Royal Caribbean or Norwegian, they are done with Carnival.

what airline has that? most for a fee will give you a new booking, even on nonrefundable fares.

 

I extremely doubt they will refund $2200...

 

have you looked up the cancellation fee on the airlines site?

The air was booked through our travel agent. He book them in special consolidator air rates specifically for cruise passengers that are usually half the price for Europe. In the fare rules, it says they are 100% non-refundable and only transferable on the same itinerary within three month for $250.

 

 

We have used them many times and never had an issue. The air is booked through a company called Centrav who have special rates for cruise passengers.

 

He did them for my Sunshine cruise in July and I saved a $2000.
