I know this is very far in advance, but when do cruises for summer 2015 in Europe open?

 

Also, any advice you would like to give a first-timer for a European cruise (and first time Oceania cruiser) would be much appreciated!! :D

I would find a TA that specializes in Oceania cruises

Depends on what your interests are, time frame if you have any areas that you would like to see more than others

 

For Oceania tips I would read through the posts here & on their website

There is a "search" feature here for specifics like "drink Packages" "air deviation"

You will find many threads where they have been discussed before

This year the 2014 cruises opened February 14 or 13, 2012. I was onboard the Marina at the time and that is the only reason why I happen to know this.

I second the recommendation about finding an experienced Oceania travel agent. An experienced agent will have those itineraries before they are published!

 

I recommend booking early -- we generally book the day the itineraries open up. The price usually goes up after a while and if it goes down, your TA can get you the reduced price. Booking early lets you pick your stateroom.

 

Get on the CC roll call for your cruise as soon as you book and do ONLY private shore excursions. You will pay way less money than using ship's tours, probably have a better experience and meet some great people.
