Air to Istanbul plus a one way to Ankara

Ok folks, I think I got my itinerary for a cruise starting and ending in Istanbul plus a precruise tour beginning in Ankara four day before our cruise out of Istanbul.

I checked out Choice air and was not impressed with the airlines, price, and type of ticket.

I did a search with Delta: MSP to AMS to IST , with a five hr lay over in AMS. for $1122.

And then I did a one way ticket from IST to Ankara for the next day to meet up with my tour group that will be arriving at a hotel we will stay in overnight. Price for one way air is $76.05USD.!!!

The price of the tour includes air back to Istanbul one day before the cruise.

This sound really good to me.

Sounds like you've got it covered. Only suggestion is looking at flying straight in to Ankara instead of Istanbul. Lufthansa does from Frankfurt (and maybe Munich?). Just an idea as it deletes a stop in Istanbul.

I guess using LH would delete and Istanbul stop but add one somewhere in the US if you're based in MSP. Still something to consider though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out.

If the timing works and the price is about the same, it saves us a hotel for one night in Istanbul.
