Thank you. Yes, YOU.

We'd been on a roll, cruising 3 years in a row, loving every minute, with a 4th booked, until some family health problems came up and we had to cancel days before we were due to leave. Now, we'll be boarding the Adventure of the Seas tomorrow, 4 years after our last cruise.

I wanted to thank all of you who:

  • responded to my questions
  • responded to other questions
  • asked the questions that I didn't even know to ask
  • made me laugh in between questions
  • kept me coming back addictively to CC to get my daily fix, just in case I might "miss" something

Especially now that my crew (we're a party of 8, including my wife, kids, parents and inlaws) is getting older and dealing with bad knees, gastroparesis, cancer, as well as the issues that prevented our earlier cruise, there were a lot of fears and discomfort about whether this could work. But there wasn't a concern raised that I couldn't respond to within a half hour either through a board search or a new thread.

Less seriously, it's also kind of fun to have them ask any sort of "how do we/where do we/when do we" question and already have the answer from what I've read here. Unfortunately, I think I've overdone it, and once on board will continue to be pelted with the hows whats and wheres- it's the curse of the CC addict.

Thank you!

I have the same thing happen to me by my family of 8 travelers. My intelligience meter goes up a few notches every time my sister in law asks me on our cruises "how did you know to do that and how did you know it was available". I tell her I did alittle research. She thinks I am a travel guide expert. My daughter just grins because she knows how much reading I do on these boards.

Relax and enjoy the work you have put into planning. It will be perfect.

Thank you all- I really appreciate it. I'm especially glad that Norbert's Niece, whose Compasses were a huge help, and Ocean Boy (who along with some of the others on Robyn's "For those who booked on AOS" thread are responsible for me NOT freaking out from some of the negative reviews) saw my thanks.

I scour CC too! My sisters were so impressed I knew about booking all the shows in advance and made the specialty dinner reservations on our Allure trip. They were even impressed with the tour in Cozumel (Nachicocom) which I heard about through the ports of call thread. But the best was the Prohibition Party - NO ONE knew about that. Was so much fun parading through the casino in our 20s' get up. What a blast! Now working on our Freedom cruise - what to see and what do to on our stops. have done the itineray already but there is always something different to try. This time though, our mates are Diamond members so can't impress them too much :D
