jameshills Posted April 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2013 High dynamic range ... it is a photography technique to bring out colors etc that might otherwise be missed ... Plus in general makes purty photos that are fun to look at. :) sent from Tapatalk on my Galaxy s3 ... padron any typos :)
hdarby Posted April 9, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted April 9, 2013 WHat is HDR:confused: HDR (High-dynamic range imaging) is where you take a number of photos with different settings - some under exposed, and some over exposed - then combine them into a single picture. It allows areas that would be in shadows or too bright in a single picture to come out with the correct lighting. For these pictures I took 5 shots - one that was normal exposure, one that was 1 stop under exposed, one that was 2 stops under exposed, then two that were 1 and 2 stops over exposed. I then combined them using a program called Photomatix. I also added some tone-mapping to make it more dramatic. Makes for some interesting photos. hdarby Posted April 9, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted April 9, 2013 Where is everyone? Did you sail EPIC alone? I took these around 9:00 at night, and although it was warm, it was pretty quiet on deck. It had been a sea day, so people had been on deck much of the day, so down below having fun I guess :)

ksimpso3 Posted April 9, 2013 #9 Share Posted April 9, 2013 Cool pictures! I love night pictures of the pool decks. Usually they are empty at nighttime also. I just love all the deck lights.
