Personal recommendations for casual dining near the Tower of London on a Saturday evening?
Thanks!

Personal favourite: Wagamama, Japanese-inspired noodle and rice restaurant.

Runner-up: Pizza Express for the best and most stylish chain pizza in the UK.

If you want to go a bit upmarket and you're prepared to cross the river, the Butler's Wharf Chop House does good British food but isn't posh - the bar area does more casual dining than the restaurant although it's noisier.

Also just along the river in the same building is the Cantina del Ponte, which is Italian/Mediterranean.

Both of these last two restaurants have outside seating areas with the most spectacular views of Tower Bridge and the river.

Thanks Globaliser,
I screwed up, we'll be looking for for a place to eat on Sunday, not Saturday. But Wagamama looks like it will fill the bill nicely. Basically we just want to make sure we're at the Tower of London at 2130, as we have tickets to witness the Ceremony of the Keys.

Captbill, Do you have the address for Wagamama? I can't get the map to come up on my computer. We also want an inexpensive place to eat before the Ceremony of the Keys. Thanks!

We'll be in London for a few days at the end of our cruise. How did you get the tickets for the ceremony of the keys?

This is actually the postcode for the church next door - I couldn't find Wagamama's exact postcode but the arrow is probably good enough for you to find it quickly. Wagamama is between the church and the river, literally in the next building from the church.

The postcode for Pizza Express, if you want to search on that, is EC3R 7QN.

Globaliser, Thanks for the information!

DesertSailors-Please see the post "Re-Ceremony of the Keys " on this board. I bumped it up so you can find it easier. I only sent 1 international reply coupon and received the tickets 11 days after I mailed the request. Good luck, we are looking forward to the ceremony!
