I can't remember if your account on the TV displays whether OBC is refundable or not. For sure, you can get a printout from Guest Relations which will show you which is which.

Getting cash from the casino has nothing to do with OBC. You can get cash from the casino if you have no OBC. It's charged to your seapass with a 5% premium. If you withdraw $100, your seapass will be charge $105. There's a limit to how much cash you can get a day--that will be posted in the casino. Last I remember seeing it was $200.

Now, obviously, if you have OBC on your account, that will offset the cash withdrawal from the casino.

I'm pretty sure it does show on the in cabin TV when you check your account. That's where I first saw the codes OBN and OBR....And was surprised that our OBC From the TA was OBR - refundable. Not that we had to worry about spending it lol!!

  • 1 month later...
Just sailed Royal last month, and we had to show a room key to check towels in and out (Freedom of the Seas). I hate the presumption that I may try to steal one - much prefer Celebrity's policy. I am sure there are a few who will take advantage, but overall I think it is better to show your passengers you trust them rather than that you consider them potential thieves.

Interesting, we did the Grandeur and the Brilliance this year and we didn't have to show our room key. Which was a switch from what we had to do in the past. Maybe they want back to that practice.

Hi Karelet

The Relaxation Room is for AQUA passengers.......and the attendants DO CHECK your sea pass at the entrance for eligibility to enter.

This is strictly an AQUA class perk!

:eek:Ya so don't even think about trying to sneak in there just go back to steerage and be happy;)

Don't get confused by "relaxation rooms" for AQUA class.

PersianGardens, which is a type of relaxation room, IS for AQUA passengers AND anyone who cares to purchase a day pass or a pass for the cruise duration. (Sorry, perk people, but I have been welcomed to this facility even though I frequently book a ...gasp... Steerage, deck 2, interior.)

Also in the spa area -and the area that spa customers may be asked to wait for their services, is another relaxation area OPEN TO ANYONE but rarely used by anyone other than spa customers. These padded, comfy lounges face the ocean at the front of the ship and this area is one of my very favorite quiet zones. I think this really is one of the few rare "secret" locations on the ship. Personally I'm glad so few take advantage of it.

We were on the Eclipse for the first time in December and found the very secluded relaxation lounge on deck 11 forward. I asked if it was a private area and was told by the spa staff that it was open to everyone on the ship but very few people knew about it. They told me to feel free to go in and help myself to water or tea if I wanted some.

I was the only person in there for about an hour. It was also one of the very few places on the ship that was quiet - no music being piped in. I did find it a bit too warm after a while because there was no air/con but it was very, very relaxing.
