CatlinSTJ Posted April 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2013 Our cabin price dropped again so I submitted the online forms and they gave us the adjustment...for one of the two cabins. They're adjoining, same class, identical rates, etc., we've submitted several price drops now without issue. I e-mailed my PVP to see if he could help and got a message back stating there was "no such user.". So, I guess I'll be calling Carnival directly tomorrow to see what's going on - this is crazy! MicksMom Posted April 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2013 I had this happen several years ago. I simply replied to the email listing all the info that was in the original form along with info on the approved booking. The price drop was approved. gusandgidgetsmom Posted April 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2013 I just had this happen but kind of expected it. I had booked one room initially for 4 of us with early saver. When they had the great sales I then changed it to two rooms. It was past the time we could get early saver. I submitted a price drop for both but was denied one. I thought it probably would work that way and was not upset, their rules, not mine.
CatlinSTJ Posted April 14, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted April 14, 2013 I don't think my sleeping husband and daughters would have appreciated me calling Carnival after 11:00PM :) I'll try replying to the message - thanks for the suggestion! I assumed they used a no reply e-mail account for those.
CatlinSTJ Posted April 14, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted April 14, 2013 On the bright side, our rate has dropped $450 per cabin - so $900 - since we booked in November! :p
ready2cruzagain Posted April 14, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2013 I agree with another poster, your best bet is to reply to the email denying the price drop.
Macklovin38 Posted April 14, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2013 The same thing just happened to me. I just submitted the form again and was given the new price. Follow me on Twitter: @SarahELewis38

CatlinSTJ Posted April 15, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted April 15, 2013 Heard back from them this afternoon and we have the additional OBC! They had lowered the rate but hadn't applied the difference to the OBC but it has been taken care of now.
