computerworks Posted August 25, 2013 Author #51 Share Posted August 25, 2013 A quick pose by the screen saver of our next voyage... to the South Pacific on the Marina. A sea day allowed us the luxury of an early dinner in Toscana. We found another soccer buddy on the staff and immediately bonded. As big international soccer fans, we always meet like minded crew by wearing logo merchandise... it's like a secret signal!
computerworks Posted August 25, 2013 Author #52 Share Posted August 25, 2013 After dinner, it was off to the Lounge for the last production show and crew finale. ACD at that time on our trip, and now a full blown CD, Professor Roy.

computerworks Posted August 25, 2013 Author #54 Share Posted August 25, 2013 Day 10 - Sea Day Breakfast at the Terrace Cafe Back to school for cooking...this time a Seafood Paella With a schedule conflict...while Angela cooked the paella, I went to the last of the Spanish classes with Professor Roy. I cheated and did her final exam as well as mine... to be sure she got her diploma.
computerworks Posted August 25, 2013 Author #55 Share Posted August 25, 2013 In the afternoon, we attended an Italian Wine Tasting session, held in La Reserve A good time...and a chance to taste wines we would not normally pick.. plus a bit of regional history to boot. computerworks Posted August 25, 2013 Author #56 Share Posted August 25, 2013 This was followed by some quiet time before dinner... Tonite, we ate in Polo and the meal was fabulous. I normally don't take pictures of everything on a plate in front of me. Face it, you know...and I know... that it is all top notch. But on the last night... Surf and Turf on one side and a nice PRoB on the other deserved a picture.
computerworks Posted August 25, 2013 Author #57 Share Posted August 25, 2013 Day 11 - Disembark Sometime, in the middle of the night, we slipped back into the Port of Miami One last look at our latest favorite ship and an outside view of our veranda. Plenty of cabs.. no chaos...and a short ride to the airport Within a few short hours, it was back to the real world. We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. Not rookies by any means, but as first-time guests, we found Oceania a marvelous line. A classy ship with a great crew. Never a problem, never an issue with anything. We are definitely sold on Oceania for future cruises. We have booked the Marina for December of this year...and are looking at the Insignia for 2014. Anyone looking for first hand experiences by a new-to-Oceania cruiser...I'd be glad to answer them.
Toranut97 Posted August 25, 2013 #58 Share Posted August 25, 2013 Thank you for your review and your photos! You strike me as savvy travelers who set out with a great attitude- determined to enjoy your time, well planned but not obsessive. I hope our paths cross on an O cruise someday!!! CintiPam Posted August 28, 2013 #63 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Thanks, Ron, for continuing your saga. Since you had last posted in April, we now have signed up for this same Caribbean Hideaways cruise on Riviera in mid-January, so now I will have to go back to the beginning of your thread, and pay even closer attention. I enjoyed following your journey in the spring, and now am enjoying it even more! Thanks for taking the time and very happy to read how much you enjoyed your Oceania cruise.:)
