Cruise Center Shops

Does anyone know if the shops at the Cruise Center (at end of pier) are open yet. The website says coming soon.

???? Wow - we were there quite a few years ago and they were open then. Not much in them tho...... basic tourist junk and duty free liquor :D

If you scroll down to the cruise center it says coming this year about the shopping. Then I went on the link they give and it also says coming soon, but in one section it describes it like it was already there. It is fine shopping like Columbian Emeralds, etc...

 

So I'm still wondering if they are open or not.....

Shops at the cruise terminal in Grand Turk have been open for years. That web site is terribly out of date, I wouldn't trust anything it says based on that old information regarding the cruise terminal

with good shopping prices. They are similar to other ports but the prices are much higher than the real duty free ports. Wait until you get to St. Thomas or St. Martin. Dufrey sounds duty free but much more than other islands.

Does anyone know if they tax things bought in.Grand Turk? My husband seems to remember the last time we were there, we paid a high tax on everything.
