Briitini Posted April 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2013 I'm interested in going to the area where Dunns River Falls drops into the ocean and hanging out in that beach area. I don't really want to climb the falls. What's the best way to get to that area?
quercus alba Posted April 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2013 Probably paying to get into the park and then just walking down to the mouth of the river, which is where the falls climbing starts.

Capt_BJ Posted April 20, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2013 to clarify At DRF the parking lot and entrance is at the top or what most think of as the exit point for the climb. To do the climb, most take the stairs/path down to the beach area and climb up. There is no regular vehicle access to the bottom . . . the only way to get there is to walk down. And the only way to get back up is to climb, either the stairs or the falls or a combination . . . btw, there isn't a big final drop into the sea this picture was taken with the photogrepher's back to the 'beach' ... this is the final set of 'steps' of the falls
