Carnival Splendor - Mongolian

The Splendor has the "Burrito Bar" but its not the signature Blue Iguana Cantina w/the tacos, salsa bar, etc. Still pretty good and they make it for you to your liking.

About the Mongolian...either go on embarkation day or go 15 mins before they open. We were there 15 mins early and the line was already 20 people deep.

Its located IN the buffet area in a seperate station...

We definitely plan on eating from both the burrito area and the Mongolian Wok! Just trying to get my bearings. Been on the Legend, Triumph and the Miracle -- first time on the Splendor. Usually we eat in the buffet for breakfast and lunch since we have assigned 2nd dinner seating. We perfer the wealth of choices offered and often if something looks good we will take a small amount to taste it. If we like it, we would go and return with a larger portion.

We also plan on trying the Rotissarie as well since it has not been available on any of the ships we have been on so far.

Once during our voyage we will try the pizza as well.

Overall goal is to try as many new things as possible without putting on too much weight!;)

You will enjoy the rotissierie! I did...its quiet up there AND they have a tray of macaroni and cheese up there along with the chicken and sides. Sometimes I'll run up there just to grab Mac N Cheese.

But wait theres more....If you like Indian food, the Tandoor area is not to be missed!

So much good food!

There goes our plan to not gain weight! Our cabin is on deck 8 and we plan on using the steps to go up to the buffet as part of our "exercise" program on the ship. Looks like we will be many a lot of trips up to deck 10 as well!

Are the serving times the same as in the buffet for the Rotissieri or are they open more hours?

Food already sounds very yummie!:D

I do the same thing. Always book on deck 8 AFT and I take the stairs plus whenever I am coming back to the cabin from say, dinner or nightly entertainment, I go to deck 8 FWD and WALK down to our cabin! ;)

Already alerted by 2 cabin mates about all the food choices...we will all be walking up to deck 9 and 10 but taking the elevator back down.;)

Have a very strong feeling that we will be doing a lot of "divide and conqueror" and then meet at the table in the buffet area! Each of us will be assigned to go to a different line and then we will share the spoils.
