New Ports - What to do?

Hello,

 

Like others have done, I'm posting this on several ports. These are all new ports for me:

 

St. Kitts

St. Johns

St. Lucia

Barbados

 

My sister and I are in our late 40's. We love the plantation house and history type tours. I see several of these types of excursions on the RCI website and I'm willing to do private tours as well.

 

Which plantation/sugar cane/carriage house/history type tours are the best for each port? We are not particularly interested in forts or ruins.

 

We usually like to do a little beach time in one port. Which port and beach would you pick for beach time?

Why not just do a general island tour!

 

 

That way you'll get to see a generous cross-section of what the island (any island) has to offer!

Aplmac is the Barbados expert! However, you did mention you liked plantation house tours, and Barbados is the best place for that on your itinerary. I'm sure that can be included on an island tour. Also, while there's no dolphin swim here, swimming with sea turtles is very popular. There are numerous threads on swimming with the turtles.

Yes, I'd work along those lines.

 

Find yourself a driver you reckon you can deal with

and suggest historical old houses/places like Nicholas Abbey, Farley Hill, Codrington College

- and arrange the timing to get to Sunbury Plantation House(and museum) for lunch.

 

 

Crane Beach is not far away from Sunbury,

so you might want to take in the great scenery from the cliff-top near the hotel itself

 

...that sort of thing.

 

 

Even if you touched on just those places mentioned

you'll get quite an island tour simply travelling between them! ;)
