coaster Posted May 7, 2013 #51 Share Posted May 7, 2013 He wants us to name the ship? Won't fall for that one again!:D Funny!! I don't own a vacation retreat with a cute name so I would be pretty open-minded judge.

halos Posted May 8, 2013 #60 Share Posted May 8, 2013 Norwegian Bliss That was going to be my suggestion :) However, it doesn't fit the 'away' theme....which I'm not fond of.
Blondie008 Posted May 8, 2013 #61 Share Posted May 8, 2013 Is it just me? yes? I dont like the name "Breakaway" or "Getaway" = very tacky - Breakaway makes me think of a chocolate biscuit (only Brits will understand that one) Getaway - it just lacks everything - lustre, shine - everything that represents a fun freestyle cruise ship.. Sweptaway (Couples resorts already have this one) Hideaway - why? Sailaway? BideAwa' (now yer talkin;)) Seriously, why did NCL name these amazing ships with such crass names?? To go from great names such as "Epic" to "Breakaway" ?? Why? I dont get it:confused:

Blondie008 Posted May 8, 2013 #63 Share Posted May 8, 2013 I guess it's better than the "Breakapart!!!" I guess  Just cant help but think of great names which have come out in recent years - Celebrity Eclipse, or Reflection and thought NCL hammered both with Epic - what a shame they followed it with "Breakaway" Even makes Carnival's (very original:p) "Sunshine" seem somehow better.. And then - to add salt to the wound - they follow THAT with "Getaway" Honestly - what is NCL's marketing dept thinking about..... I just dont get where they are going with these names -:(
Out to sea! Epic, Gem, Spirit all great names - I guess they know what works for them - who am I to say, must work somehow for them - who knows....
cruisecritiquer Posted May 9, 2013 #70 Share Posted May 9, 2013 Norwegian Sailaway sounds like the most logical choice. Isn't that a song? NCL needs to clarify whether they expect us to stick with the away theme. There's a lot of room for creativity if we don't have to add away to everything. :p
