Legends show on Conquest?

Does The Conquest still do the Legends show now that they have the playlist shows?

If they do, how do they do the show without the band? Do they just use the disk music?

I have done conquest 3 times since 2.0 and dont remember seeing legends, though I could have missed it.

 

they rotate the 3 shows to different nights and one night was just the hasbro show in the theater.

Cruised on Conquest in January and don't believe the legends show was done. We did enjoy the new electronic format though!

Despite false rumors, there is still live music on Carnival Conquest.

 

They have both Superstar Karaoke and what they call Showcase of the Stars (different nights and venues) and both have live music. Not sure who is showcased, but they do have it.

Nobody is claiming that the Conquest has no live music at all anywhere on the ship. They are saying that there is no live music for the shows in the main showroom, and that the total amount of live music throughout the ship has been reduced quite a bit, compared to 3-4 years ago. (Even compared to 1 year ago.) That is true, no matter how anyone tries to spin it. Some people may not care that there's less live music, but not caring doesn't make it less true.

 

I was just off the Breeze, which also has no live music in the showroom, and there was no Legends Show at all. I am on the side that didn't care about not having the Legends Show, but I sure did miss having live music in the showroom. And even though I don't care about the Legends Show, I do respect the people that care and enjoy it. Me not caring doesn't mean you shouldn't also. Your opinion matters just as much as mine.

Yes they use the band that would normally be playing in the casino or atrium The last name of the band I saw in funtimes post on the internet was Joe and the Band. I guess when they are playing for superstar or showcase of the stars there will be no dancing type bands playing on the rest of the ship unless you like the Latin band. But all is good as long as there is a Piano Bar.

Like I said, other peoples' opinion are just as valid as mine. If this is an acceptable substitute for having live music for the production shows in the showroom for you, then that's great. My opinion, which isn't greater than yours, is that this is not better or even close to equal.

The Latin Band is pretty darned good. As is the Conquest Band.

Superstar Karaoke is "Karaoke to a live band", and "Showcase of the Stars", is 7 or 8 of your fellow passengers performing on the big stage in the big theater. It can be singing, dancing, playing piano or guitar or most any other talent that might be entertaining, except stand-up comedy, and rap. Most, however, is singing. I've seen and heard some REALLY good talent in the "Showcase of the Stars", and I've seen some "somewhat lame" talent there too. (Once saw a guy who did "Rubiks Cube" in less than a minute.) :confused:

The flagship and newest ship changes in a couple of days. I'll see what I can see on the new Carnival Sunshine is a couple of weeks. :)

That is not the flagship nor the newest ship. Sunshine used to be the Destiny, so it is not a new ship. It's a refurbished ship. Breeze will remain the flagship & newest ship. For someone who loves Carnival and defends her so fervently, I'm surprised that you didn't know that.

Sunshine is much more than a refurbished ship, it is a new ship in a recycled hull and we'll be cruising on the flagship in less than 2 weeks! :)
