Gayle V Posted May 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2013 Not asking about bringing one, just wondering about the ones in the laundry room. Last time I cruised, using them was free. Heard from a friend of a friend today that they had to pay to use the ship irons. I have no idea what ship that was, just hoping it wasn't Carnival. Anyone know for sure? firefly333 Posted May 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2013 I think if this were true, we would have seen posts. The irons and ironing boards may not be much to brag about, but they are free.
beachbum53 Posted May 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2013 Also, keep in mind that the irons on the ships get several hundred times the use that one would get in someone's home. Last year, on the Liberty, I needed to iron something, and the iron leaked water and didn't heat up real well. Granted it was better than nothing, but after that I decided it was better to pay to have something pressed. (Maybe that's why the irons don't get replaced too often.)
