Slight changes to Le Club Voyage benefits

I was checking up what we would be eligible for on a future cruise (I always get confused about our internet time) and I discovered I am going to be able to have a facial at a 20% discount

 

This is a nice new perk (OK I know not everyone uses the spa) certainly one I will hope to enjoy on a future cruise and so long as the prices have not been seriously increased, this will make a facial a fair price on board

Although this "perk" is of lesser interest, it was worthwhile revisiting our free laundry and internet services. In our experience, for whatever reason, Azamara doesn't make much of a deal about their loyalty programme and I'm glad you reminded us.

 

Now here's a reward we would love: as a practical momento,one of the towels used on the poolside loungers. I actually asked about buying one for my wife, but that wasn't possible. I then realized they would have difficulty separating a towel legitimately in our possession and one "acquired" in a more devious manner.

 

So how about a "gift" towel, at the highest loyalty level, shipped to your home? Probably financially impractical but certainly appreciated.

We brought home two big Azamara beach towels from our cruise this winter. But they're not the lounger towels. I guess Azamara had some towels with the old logo left, so they used them as big trivia prizes at the end of the cruise. The only problem was finding room in our suitcases for them. They just seem to take up more room than a tee shirt.;)

Great to know, we are first time Azamara cruisers, but have the equivalent to Explorer in Celebrity, does any one know if the same benefits will apply as they are the same company.???

We did not receive the "Welcome back gift sent to your home after your 1st voyage" after our July 2013 cruise on Quest. Bummer.

 

The good news is that "Royal Caribbean International's Crown & Anchor Society members who have reached the Platinum or higher levels will enjoy the benefits of the Le Club Voyage tier levels that most closely correspond to the Crown & Anchor Society credits earned." Since we are Platinum on Royal I'm hoping that we will be Explorer with Azamara. The free laundry is a nice perk. We always appreciated it on Princess.

Surely not more than Azamara can afford...as even Carnival gave us two beautiful beach towels after our last VIP Casino Program cruise.....and I agree that this would be a great gift.....

 

Azamara DID give us free t shirts with their casino logo upon each large jackpot that we hit last trip......which was also nice! I really think that we are all "grateful" (suckers!) for any freebie! even if the gifts DO come at a price! Just makes us feel more appreciated?

 

My humble two cents as I love ANY cruise! As long as there is a casino of course......

Oops. We cruised for the first time in July 2012 and did not receive our welcome back gift. Our second cruise on the Quest is in December of 2013 so hoping our Royal Platinum status will transfer to Explorer for Le Club Voyage.

Has anyone received a welcome back gift after a first voyage this past year? We certainly did not.

 

So exactly what is it that we missed?

The welcome back gift is after your first cruise as a Le Club Voyage member, so received after returning from your second cruise. We never received ours, so I emailed LeClubVoyage and asked. Stephen replied within a day and said he would take care of it. Our Azamara water bottles then arrived in the mail within a few weeks. I have to say, with the variety of shoreside issues we have had with Azamara, on the few occasions that I have emailed LeClubVoyage, Stephen has always responded promptly and taken care of any request. Too bad he can't be cloned and used in multiple shoreside roles!
