JdoggCruiser Posted May 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2013 We are going on her in October and plan on booking another cruise that time (want my $100 obc). I was told by JH that there is not one. I also have a friend that cruised on her a few years back and said there was. Anyone who has been recently?

Just wanted to make sure you were booking a 7 day cruise and not another short cruise and expecting $100 OBC $50 per cabin 3 to 5 days $75 OBC 6 days $100 7 days $200 OBC for longer cruises like my 15 days to Hawaii

KroozFoolz Posted May 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2013 There is a future cruise consultant (and desk) on Fascination. The desk is midship on the Promenade Deck. The consultant's hours will be posted in the FunTimes. I believe her name is Jennifer.
ichigohime Posted May 21, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2013 There is not an actual "desk" They will set up a little stand on the promenade next to the stairs by the cafe. It is not there all the time, in fact last time we were on in January we had a hard time catching the woman. The times the desk will be open are posted in the fun times each day. I asked when they were having a meeting. We wanted some too. Needless to say I was bummed and had to deal with some folks who spent too much time at Senior Frogs so I missed the meeting

You don't buy a certificate for $100 anymore and you have to put down the regular deposit, which you really always did. The onboard credit is as listed in firefly's post except the $200 starts at 12 days. You can make any booking even if you don't plan on taking that cruise but just use it as a placeholder for when you do decide. Don't make it as an early saver booking or any other booking that has a no cancellation clause. Also remember that you have to make your real booking, from home, before the final payment date of the cruise you booked on the ship or else you'll have cancellation penalties. I booked four cruises last month that I don't plan on taking. I was using two of those for Europe next year but that's not going to happen now. I just switched the earliest of the bookings, a 3 day cruise, to a 7 day cruise in July. I made a booking on the cruise I wanted so I could hold a cabin and then called to make the change. The new cruise will be listed under the old booking number and I will receive the $ 100 on board credit instead of the original $50 OBC. It's easy to do as long as you keep you follow the above guidelines regarding booking codes and final payment dates. Yes, it does cost a little more since you're putting down deposits instead of $100 for each but look for short cruises with low deposits or even the 50% deposit offers. I missed that meeting due to having to take care of all the empty Senior Frog shot glasses they brought back. But I was told that the FCC were no longer available. But I was told that the FCC were no longer available.Oh well The FCC program is gone. But you can still book future cruises, you just have to select a specific one. However as long as you don't go with Early Saver or another program that doesn't allow for changes, you can just book a cruise to lock in the OBC, then change the cruise later if that itinerary doesn't work. So no generic certificate like you used to get, you have to actually book something.
gusandgidgetsmom Posted May 22, 2013 #12 Share Posted May 22, 2013 I booked our cruise to Hawaii last Oct from the Fascination. The desk (stand) is always there by the casino--(the guy that mans the desk commented how he was going to die from second hand smoke) but it is not always manned. We found the employee to be very knowledgeable and helpful. We got the $200.00 OBC for our cruise so we were very happy.
