Boatyard: Can you come and go?

We are headed to the Boatyard when in port. Since the ship is so close, we'd like to leave the Boatyard and eat lunch on the ship, returning to the Boatyard when we're finished. Is this possible?

Yes possible but,

as another contributor said, in another thread..

 

The ship is not so close that it would be convenient to go back for lunch.
