H2O was getting plenty of action that day and so were all the lido decks, but always managed to get a spot everywhere that we wanted to be in. I really can't remember much details on what happened that day around that time. I had left my cell in the room and I was only carrying my underwater camera.

The one thing I never found in the grill was mayo, I guess you could go downstairs and get some if you really wanted it.

DSC01384_zpsbaa46416.jpg

By the way the lemonade in NCL is great!

The pool was getting plenty of action, I really like that shallow part.

The placement of this pool is just plain odd, but I guess it works...

Then I took my camera and went to the slide area. Just note that they wont let you slide with your camera in the pocket even if it is zippered.

That's about the busiest I ever saw it.

Not the best picture, but it is all I have. It is just awesome to be up there, the views are incredible.

DSC01417_zpsefc1819d.jpg

I had to go give the cam to my mom so I could ride the slides some. I also remember gentleman a little upset because he could not take off his wedding ring and therefore he could not ride the slides.

Peter Max

Ok so let me talk a little about Peter Max.

I am not sure when, but at some point in time that afternoon, I was walking around on the pool deck and I saw Peter Max. First of all I could not believe that I actually recognized him, I was very excited about that. They were both walking and his friend was pointing up to the water slide, like to trying to show Max something.

Anyway, I am not sure how I did it, but I managed to get a lot of courage and go to him to say hello.

And this is how the conversation went….

Me: Hello, are you you Petter Max.

Him: Yes, (with a not so good face).

Me: Very nice to meet you, great job on the ship (I have to admit that the paint grew on me and I like it now. Trust me, I know how much I was against in the past. But the week before when I saw the ship sailing out of NY it just looked majestic on that cam)

Him: Ok

Me: Would you mind if I get a picture with you?

Him: "Uggghhhhhhhhhhhh" and his companion rolled his eyes

Me: Never mind, no worries, enjoy your cruise.

Him: Them he finally smiled and gave a weak high five.

I am not really sure what to say here, I understand that he must of taken thousands pictures by now. But I did felt a little let down by his attitude, I mean he is a celebrity in a ship which he decorated… Of course he is going to get people asking for pictures.

The funny thing out this entire situation is that I actually recognized him. I am absolutely horrible with faces, I really cannot believe that I recognized him.

My bf said that I should of told him his art was horrible, and put him in his place. But that is just not me, if he wants to be like that then be it. I wont sink to his level!

One thing is for sure, I will never buy any of his art!

Then later on in the afternoon I headed back to the room and relaxed a little.

The beauty of an aft balcony, I wish I could always afford to get one.

DSC07537_zpsc49f2bb9.jpg

I shared a little of my redbull/vodka with Willy :D.

DSC07547_zpse8693a39.jpg

My mom left the room go see a meet and greet, when she got there she realized that it was for kids :D.

I had also asked to get me lobster tail from Carlo's bakery.

DSC07555_zps81da2875.jpg

And she came back with a ca rot cake cupcake instead, she said the name confused her. But I have to say, that was a very tasty cupcake. Possibly the best I've ever had. My problem with cupcakes is that they are never moist enough, this one was just perfect!

DSC07556_zpsad706a73.jpg

She went back out for the rockettes meet and greet.

DSC07566_zps28225c53.jpg

When she got back we decided to go back up to the rope course. The lines had disappeared by then, I basically walked in right in. This time around the plank was open, and I was dying to try it. I have to say it is very nerve wracking to be up there when the ship is in monition. But a lot of fun.

DSC07591_zps98d06f2d.jpg

After that we decided to and try to catch the comedy show since we had missed the night before.

Lines starting to build up at the MDR. It was around 7pm

The comedy had some good moments, it is basically an improv comedy show. They interact with the audience and overall we had fun. Please note that we just walked into this show without having any reservations. I was pretty happy that we got to see it.

We left before the show was over because we had reservations at Teppa

DSC07615_zps157d9f7d.jpg

For teppa, unfortunately we were sat with a big group that had zero interest in talking to us. And they spoke in their language the entire time, as suggested by Sarah, from now on I will ask to be sat with couples. I had nothing against them, as a matter of fact they were very polite, but the tables next to us just seemed to be having so much more fun than we were.

Here are a few pictures, before we got started.

DSC07620_zps95248e19.jpg

Those windows are great! Avery neat view, shame that Bistro does not have the same windows.

DSC07621_zps1c3d3a87.jpg

DSC07622_zps72ec167e.jpg

They give you some edamame. Nothing much to type here, it was hot I guess.

That is me starting my origami

DSC07625_zps289ea01b.jpg

After that came a miso soup, very nice.

DSC07628_zps7e60597c.jpg

End result, what do you think?

DSC07630_zps37991cd6.jpg

Since I was dressed all in white, we tried this. Let it be said that I was not successful. lol. Plus my table mates looked at me like I was crazy.

DSC07632_zps621a63d1.jpg

A little salad, it was good. I think it had a miso dressing. I am not one for salads, but I still ate it all.

That table was having a blast!

DSC07636_zps8dac2413.jpg

And the show gets started.

DSC07639_zps17f7cc4d.jpg

Then they came with some sauces.

DSC07642_zps4fdb16b3.jpg

So you might see that two of our table mates are getting up. One of the ladies got sick and she could not get to the bathroom and had to do her business right there, I think on the ice bucket. I really did not think much of it, I mean she got sick, and that's it. I would hate to be in her place, after that the ladies left, but the rest of the group stayed there. The funny thing is that that group was next to us in bistro the day after.

Spinning the eggs.

The chef had to remove the lobster shells because the old fellow complained about it. I think it was because of the smell. He did a lot of complaining and a lot of frowning. But in the end tipped the chef really good, I guess he was happy.

DSC07675_zps61f27d06.jpg

By the way, note that I have nothing against Asian people, my boyfriend is Asian and my coworkers are mostly Thai. But this group was just very boring, the only two yelling and laughing were mom and I :D.

We also had the seafood platter, again very tasty and an incredible amount of food.

The server came around like 2 times and so did the metro d (spelling), they kept asking if we were ok. I guess the fact that she got sick bothered me none, I was more upset about being in such a boring table. They ended up offering us a round of free drinks, mom got a glass of wine and I took a pass. I had way too much by then already, I was actually trying to come down a little.

Mom's free wine.

DSC07679_zps8fb4c91b.jpg

Mom got fruit for dessert.

DSC07680_zpsd778ec6f.jpg

And I got the green tea cake and ice cream. The ice cream was great, the cake not so much… Actually it was pretty bad.

Looking at photos of Peter Max he seems to look arrogant. He is sort of representing NCL, his artwork is selling on board Im sure, and he is there for a reason and with all the free perks Im sure...at least he could of shaken your hand and give you a smile. He's probably one of those that is so into himself and has his nose way up in the air, you don't need a photo with somebody like that. ;)

Overall Teppa was great, I think this could be possibly my favorite restaurant. Yes the group was not ideal, but I can only imagine how much fun this would be with better table mates!

I took several videos of the dinner for those interested.

You can see some of the drama in the videos.

So yeah, I fully recommend Teppa, it was a great experience. I think this is the only restaurant (other than the food bars) that I will for certain try again in NCL. But next time I will make the reservation on board and be very clear that I want to be seated with couples and not in a large group.

We left the restaurant and walked a little.

The karaoke at full blast?!?!? That venue is not good for it...

We then went to Rock of Ages, what can I say. We walked out at about 30 minutes into the show. From what I heard the show is similar to the Broadway one, but with a weaker cast. But overall there were mix reviews about the show, some hated it, some said it was ok and some loved it. I guess you will know if it is for you or not. Let one thing be said, this show is not for children! There are sexual acts in the show.

This picture was taken before the show started. (no photography allowed)

DSC07703_zps463135e5.jpg

After we left the show we stepped outside and I took a few pictures. Not the best pictures, but I still want to share them.

We then went up to the room and waited a little for the Fabba party to start.

This little guy was waiting for us.

We are almost there =)

After sometime relaxing we heard the music starting upstairs, so we headed that way.

The party was just ok. The good thing was that we met Shaun and his wife up there and then went back down to our room. I wanted them to compare the noise difference from deck 12 to deck 10. They said deck 10 is noticeable quieter. I had tried to contacting them earlier in the cruise, but I dialed the wrong room number.

I took a few pictures from our balcony.

DSC07751_zps6b6965eb.jpg

DSC07754_zps014800d9.jpg

We spoke with them for some time and then they left to head back to their room.

It was overall a very nice relaxing day, other than the incident with Peter Max everything went pretty good. Good food, good times at the Jacuzzi, slides, rope course ect. This is what Breakaway should be all about, just good old times :).

Day 3, Ending.

I will now work on day 4.

Your pictures with your underwater camera are super. Better than my pictures with my point and shoot. I don't think you ever have to apologize for your pictures. I have never seen a bad one. Even if you think they are. That one picture from your cabin looking out at the wake looks like there might be a cruise ship or something in the background. A tiny white dot, or am I just seeing things?

Peter Max looks like he would be a snob to me. At 75 years old, he should be glad he can travel and be grateful for anyone that does recognize him. I guess he is just a grouchy old man. IMHO that is......:p

Can't wait to get to Bermuda.

swim13: The Allure is a completely different concept than NCL's big ships. I was very afraid of NCL's concept, but I will give it to them. The system does work and the flow of the ship is very organized. But I can see how the neighborhood program might be more appealing for some. With your new camera I suggest you stay in auto or P, until you learn to use it a little more and you explore other settings. The white one must look very cool, I love everything in white. Those Oakley's are actually my battle pair, they are so beat up. I am afraid of bringing my juliets out, I got them like 2 years ago, but I rarely wear the them lol :D. I might take them for the Breeze cruise, but still not sure.

FTLAUDER: Very funny :D. That is actually island2island, very nice couple. And yes she was seen again, her husband won several dancing contests throughout the week.

dreamer976: You know I am still an emotional mess when I enter a room with a lot of people that I don't know. But overall I think it went ok, much better than I expected it to be. Thank you for keeping up with me, I think this review is the one that I like the most so far.

My4Grandsons: I am sure those paintings cost big money, they were all so nice. They really had some interesting art aboard the Breakaway, my kind of art.

SwellBee: Our next cruise on the Breeze on August, wanna come? We are doing Grand Turk, San Juan, St Thomas and St. Maarten. Can't wait!

lyndamr: That was what bothered me the most, he is representing NCL and he acts like that. That cannot be good for the company. I also heard that he was dry in the meet and greet, he just signed everything fast and moved on. But when Fox went to interview him he turned into the sweetest person alive. It is what it is, I am happy that I don't have to look at his face ever again, people that arrogant don't deserve a megabyte in my computer :D.

Bugsy: Thank you Chris. Did you watch the videos? they are really entertaining.

crusinlady1947: Oh yeah that is the Celebrity Summit, we are travel buddies. She always leave port first, but then we passed her very fast and leave her in the distance. Max was indeed a grumpy old man, did not care much for him.
