So what do they do with the people the rescued?

Do they stay on the ship to the next port?

Does the ship change direction to take them to land?

While they are on the ship, waiting to get to where ever they are going, are they kept in a room, or aloud to wonder the ship?

I know if they are sick, hurt what ever they would be in the medical area, but if they are just dehydrated and wet, after giving them dry clothes what do they do?

The Coast Guard picked them up from the Dream.

The story said that they were transfered to a Coast Guard Cutter .

Just returned from a great cruise on the Dream. We were on the ship for the rescue.

We sailed in a cove cabin (2368) directly above the door the pilot uses to get on and off ship.

Jamie (CD) made an announcment that we were changing direction and increasing speed to help out a boat with 2 people stranded. When the Dream made it to the boat we were in our cabin. The Dream lowered a Tender and went over to the boat. 2 people ( from the Bahama's) were brought back to the Dream. They climbed the ladder onto the Dream.

After dinner we returned to the cabin and noticed we were pretty much still just floating and not moving. Shortly after we saw the CG cutter. The back of the Cutter opened up a smaller boat with 2 CG sailors headed over to the Dream. Rope ladder was dropped, and the 2 stranded sailors climbed down into the small boat. They then drove into the back of the Cutter.

I have pics of the rescue and video of the night time transfer to the cutter. It was amazing to see the little boat being tossed around so violently in the sea. When you are on a ship, you do not realize the little waves you see in the ocean are really much larger then they appear.
