Blu on Solstice class ship compared to Summit

We were on the Summit and had breakfast and dinner in Blu everyday. We never had to wait for a table, the service was excellent and so nice and quiet. We really loved it. Is this any different on the larger Solstice class ships?

Thank you for the reply. Good to know. We would like to someday try one of the Solstice class ships. We were definitely spoiled by Blu and would only want to do Aqua class again because of it. We just got off the Summit on the 19th and we still miss it too.

We were on the May 17th sailing of the Solstice and ate in Blu every night except for embarkation day when we ate at the Tuscan Grille.

Blu was great for both dinner and breakfast. I particularly like breakfast at Blu because you can avoid the masses in the Oceanview Cafe.

Service was great. This was our third AQ experience and Blu has consistently been a great experience. There has never been a wait, regardless of time we decided to dine.

Dining in Blu on the Summit is more open and seems more spacious as opposed to the crammed in feel on the Reflection, even though the area is smaller on the Summit.

The other S class ships were also great but for some reason the Reflection just seemed too small for the amount of passengers that are in AQ.

After being in AQ for many cruises the menu does get a little boring as it doesn't seem to change. Food is still great and I guess the good side is you can always look forward to having your favorite dish.

On eclipse right now and we are loving Blu! It is very busy between 7-8 but got a table right away anyways. The food is fantastic. The service is a bit rushed but overall just fine and we are having very good wine service. I have read other people reporting issues but we tell the steward up front every evening what we would like to have with our different courses and he brings it right on time with each course.

With the exception of the reflection, blu is better than any of the m-class ships. One main reason....on s-class ships, the kitchen is right there...food is served hot, changes can be made quickly and so on. M-class kitchen is on a lower deck so all food has to travel much farther before it gets to you.

The reflection is a different situation....Celebrity increased the number of aqua cabins and added some aqua suites....but they only increased the seating in Blu by 22 seats. As a result, wait times for tables at peak times may be longer.

It also appears as if they added those 22 seats without increasing the area. The place seemed too cramped.

Hey you, two! I figured out who you were right away. We have missed you both since we returned home last week. Hope all is well. We know your work is busy- been reading the newspaper. Blessings, Julie and Bob
